No, that wasn't me. That was a user by the name of RyuHayabusa. He's been banned by Mav for trolling. Capt. GM Murdock was the one that suggested that I drop it since I would probably not be able to get a point across.

Well, I haven't been banned yet, and I'm the current one arguing with notdougbendo about his claims that the VF-1 is superior to a VF-11. I've been told to drop the subject by Murdock (I forget his full name at the moment). Of course, after I was told to drop the subject, notdougbendo posts his response on how the animation in Macross 7 supposedly proves his claims despite the fact that original source material says otherwise. I'm currently debating with myself whether to actually drop it or reply anyway. Either way, notdougbendo will probably claim some kind of victory.

Is there anyone as impatient as I am and getting Final Fantasy XIII this month? I have it pre-ordered and am currently wondering how long it'll actually be before I get it.

For shame Pete, not mentioning me as the sensible poster in that thread! The US ARMY Destroid in question appeared in episode 31, "Satan Doll". The topic starter asked if it was ever explained in the original Macross why that particualr Destroyed said US ARMY on it. I almost commented about the mention of Southern Cross in a Macross thread, but was too lazy to actually correct the poster's statement.

Actually, while I don't really consider myself a Southern Cross fan, I did actually enjoy the original series way much more than I did its Robotech version. Well, tak, there was a two or three part Robotech comic that dealt with the Destoids. Unlike most of the Robotech comics, the writing and artwork were really well done, I thought. The series very easily could have been passed off as an actual Macross side story if one didn't know any better.

I remember wanting an old Led Mirage resin kit after seeing one at a sci-fi convention back when I first got into anime. It was one of the 1/100 scale ones with quite a few metal parts. I almost died of sticker shock when I saw that the price for the kit was around $350. I always loved the intricate Mortar Headd designs that came out of the series.
