  1. Wow, what a horrible angle to have chosen to photograph. Perhaps XTB wanted to show off the sculpted detail on the trailer doors, but it's rather painfully obvious those fake wheels have no rear axle...
  2. While Sentinel's Legioss itself is arguably closer to 1:60 scale, the pilot figure is clearly 1:48 (which is why it barely squeezes into the cockpit!). The upcoming Riobot Mospeada Ride-Armor VR-038L "Bartley," which I assume you're referring to, is 1:12 scale.
  3. You'll probably found they've fallen apart in the box... but you won't be able to tell unless you actually take them out. The risk is up to you. The Evolution Toys Legioss are displayed with Moscato's Invid crabs and EXO's soldiers, the DX VF-1s, and everything else 1:48... The Sentinel Legioss are displayed with Yamarcadia's Valkyries, Bandai's renewals, and everything else 1:60... The Gakken Legioss remain in their boxes for sentimental value, along with the Takatoku chunky monkeys, the Matchbox SDF-1, and everything else vintage '80s. Any Toynami, Aoshima, or CMs Legioss can go to eBay, or go to hell.
  4. Like Cog, you mean? Or Impactor? Or Sideswipe? Mirage? Hound? It's totally inexcusable, I agree. In fact, it's downright lazy. With 35 years of toys, comics, and video game characters to draw from, this should not be happening in 2020. And just when you think it couldn't get any worse... ...the dialogue even tries to lampshade it!
  5. I don't like the sound of an "interactive" movie... Wouldn't deciding major story events before they happen destroy any dramatic tension?
  6. Yeah, the situation has gotten a lot worse since the Japanese government started subsidizing domestic travel expenses to reinvigorate the local tourist trade. Of course, "worse" is relative. We in Asia will never experience the insanity you crazy Americans are suffering...!

    Macross figures

Toynami's Series 2 figures went up for pre-order in May -- of last year -- and were slated for a September 2019 release. Ten months later, there's still no sign of them. Don't expect Series 3 until 2022... at the earliest. [ . . . ] Come to think of it, that's still faster than KC.
  8. With all the custom modifications made to that vintage Imai kit (metal parts, LED headlights, sideview mirrors), you'd think he would modify the figure so it could at least sit on the bike...
  9. Plenty of adult content in Part 1, too...
  10. The 1:18 kit won't, but -- if he manages to sell 50 of them anyway -- it sounds like he'll be able to finance the production of a 1:12 version. Like any new Southern Cross product, it's tentative at best.

    Macross figures

Man, I get so excited when I read the words "1:18 Hovertank," but then I remember their horrible, horrible prototype... You'd be better off modifying a Matchbox toy! And hell, the only Southern Cross figures to scale are Matchbox anyway...
  12. Gorgeous customs, @levzloi. Inspiring work. Must be nerve-wracking to transform them, though...
  13. I admire your optimism! Frankly, I don't believe this will ever come out.
  14. Guys, what are you doing? Don't give us actual height measurements for the figure! If you're gonna label each image with "1/12," you know what's gonna happen, right? That's right. We're gonna do the math. According to your measurements, you claim that Jeanne is 5'11" (180cm) in her duty uniform, and 6'4" (192cm) in her armor...? That would put Lana over 6', Marie and Charles at 6'8", and Andrzej at a whopping 7'1". See? Don't publish the actual figure heights, idiots.
  15. So... you bought them to admire the box art?
  16. Yeah, that's a 1:6th scale statue. Given the cost of their previous statues, I fear the MSRP...
  17. Is that "Smuggler's Run" Hondo Ohnaka a whole new figure? The Chewbacca obviously isn't...
  18. Yes, I'm afraid they are. They're dealing with a backlog of several months, and they've got their hands full just accepting incoming packages from overseas. When the situation changes, you'll be able to read about it here.
  19. That seems a rather minor issue to concern yourselves with, compared to the scale issue with Kong (who was barely a hundred feet tall in Kong: Skull Island)...
  20. Any wild theories as to why they're calling it "Alternative Universe" Optimus?
  21. It's just fandom slang for the mass-production Valkyrie units, the brown-and-ivory color scheme most VF-1As have in the animation. It stands for "cannon fodder."
  22. You guys are killin' it with those poses! Today was such a beautiful day, I went shopping downtown and took a few pictures...

    Hi-Metal R

It's much worse than that, since he'd have to commission somebody to build them; he has neither the time nor the skill to paint and assemble one (much less three!) himself. Mind you, it appears the "Fokker Army" display is battroid-only, which is imminently practical. Well, I see no mention of the tiny 1:144 Tomytec Macross Modelers version: It comes with parts for all three modes, and it's completely pre-painted.
