New teasr of the last work of Jason David Frank

Looks awesome! RIP JDF, dude was a legend, I met him a few times and he was always super nice and humble, great guy, he loved his fans and was truly MMPRs Tony Stark, the heart of the whole franchise.

  2. I'm playing Exoprimal right now on Gamepass and honestly, it's really fun, it's a great Gamepass game. Capcom did pretty well, solid gunplay, progression is fine, lots of customization. I usually find anything PvP to be a drag, but you can opt out of PvP for the most part, the PvE is really fun, I can see myself sinking quite a few hours in, leveling up several different suits and grinding out currency for mod upgrades and cosmetics.

I need those Star Trek figures.  Sculpts look pretty good, especially compared to what Playmates gave us recently.

Agreed, I've always wanted some decent, collectors Kelvin timeline Trek figures, these look great.

Having never seen Shin Godzilla, I was under the impression that that's entirely standalone...? Or do you mean a prequel to the FIRST first movie, ie '54 Goji?

Perhaps "Minus One" implies an alternate retelling of '54, reframing the nuclear weapons social anxiety around... maybe... the Tohoku earthquake/tsunami, and/or climate change more broadly. IIRC that was somewhat the case with Shin Godzilla, but there the movie was just evoking footage from the disaster while the social commentary focused on government bureaucracy. I dunno, lemme know.

TOHO has been tight-lipped on details but it appears it is a retelling of Goji's first appearance, but it's right after WWII instead of in 54.

  5. Such a shame Andor got such low viewership, Obi-Wan and Book of Boba seemed to have really scared a lot of people away. I get it, comparing Andor, a character that died in a spin-off movie, to god damn Boba Fett and Obi-Wan, it seemed the bigger names would've delivered on the bigger better series but nope, complete opposite, that's absolutely crazy that's the reality of the situation.

Anyone else? Would you have preferred a new cast? For as much as some people here like to go on and on about wokeness being the industry's downfall, what really crippled this movie to me was its counting solely on nostalgia to drive sales in a movie culture in which nostalgia (or at least this particular brand of nostalgia) was already waning.

I was sort of on board when it was rumored Chris Pratt would be the reboot Indy, I probably would've watched that. As for Dial of Destiny? I haven't seen it yet, I like the Indy films just fine but not enough to go brave the theaters for a new one. Maybe if it gets included at Sunset Station's $5 Tuesday deal, but other then that I'll probably wait for it to release on D+.

There's been more and more rumblings about SE remastering or remaking some of its older titles (beyond what they've already released or announced). Outside of DQ12, that's where my real interest lies with their games.

If they do a classic FF, like number 6 or 4, and remake it to look like, say, Octopath Traveler 2, I'd be so completely in. If they want their mainline series to devolve into action based non-RPGs so be it, I'll vote with my wallet and not buy them, but they really need to cater to the RPG fans and have some series run alongside the mainline series that are actual RPG games.

  8. I'm just wondering if there is an actual Twisted Metal tournament involved at all or it's just using the name and Sweet Tooth. I didn't see any other game characters, it seems there's an apocalypse or something that happened, but no mention of Calypso or a tournament. I hope it isn't like the newest MK movie where it all happens before the first tournament, then the movie ends hinting that the tournament is coming next time, in a sequel...

  9. My buddy Rex has been playing FFXVI and, meh. It looks like a fun enough character action game, a Devil May Cry Lite, but it really isn't an RPG. It's an RPG like Gotham Knights or the new God of Wars are, there's numbers, but they are mostly trivial, you put on the highest numbered thing then beat stuff up, not much strategy or thinking, I saw him using fire magic on a fire enemy and I noped out. At $30 I'll give the game a try as a generic, medevil fantasy action slasher, but it aint a $70 Final Fantasy game to me. It looks like a new IP based on the newest DMC guest-starring stuff from Final Fantasy, I'm not feeling it and if this is the direction mainline Final Fantasy will be taking then I'm probably done with the series, I liked them when they were actual strategic RPGs, not this DMC wannabe nonsense.
