  1. Out of all the mainstream Takara/Hasbro lines, the SS86 line is the only one that almost, almost, almost got me to bite and sell off my MP season 1 Cons and Autobots, official Takara and third party fill-ins. For standard retail releases, the vast majority of these figures have looked great, and very G1, which was what caused me to buy up early MP in the first place and avoid CHUG and retail lines. I don't know, sizing down would be great, and selling off what I have could fund buying everything back up in the SS86 line three or four times over, it's just a lot of work and I don't think I can bother doing all that.

I'm betting the price is blown out by all of the larger elements involved in ship builds.  I don't imagine the keel is built up from normal bricks, and those sorts of ship models have always gone for a premium because of the unique parts involved.

That Cobra looks like a beauty though!  I should probably think about that one before it poofs, but I'm still debating burning my VIP points to pick up the Shuttle Carrier 747.

Plus I'm still really tempted by that Countach. ^_^

The Cobra is awesome, but if you're choosing between the two, the Countach takes my money, it's nearly flawless IMO. The Cobra is pretty much perfection too, my only complaint is I wish it was another color, it's the same blue as the Mustang, which I get, but black would've worked just as well for me.

Anybody thinking about picking up the Black Pearl set that releases in a couple of days? I'm on the fence about it.

I want it, but the IP/license tax on it is absolutely insane. It's only 2,800 pieces, and yet it's $380? That's a terrible, terrible, terrible price if you're counting price per brick, which I do, I just can't justify the cost right now, after tax you're looking at $400+.

  4. I think all the casting is spot-on, Dastmalchian isn't a big or intimidating guy, but he's a phenomenal talent with great range, his current run on the Dexter spin-off shows he's got the chops for a villain roll, I'm in. I've met the Dutch Giant twice at the gym, absolutely fantastic guy, this was right before the new season of Reacher dropped so I tossed a ton of questions his way, him as Zangief is just beyond perfect.

  5. Yeah this is looking like the Mospeada figures for me, scale and price are just right, definitely in for a Tread too whenever that happens. I don't know, I want to wait for the green one, but I may grab the blue one for now just to check it out, then go all in when green releases.

    P3d0 rangers?

I don't want to spoil anything, but the end of 28 Years Later has a rather strange twist featuring a very odd group of survivors modeled after a certain former British DJ and performer that ended up being a massive child predator and sex offender, it's weird.

  7. I liked the first episode, mostly just reintroductions and recaps. On to the gritty....

    Spoiler

I think this was the best way to address the universe swap, quick and dirty. He didn't constantly bag on Aquaman for being a fish frakker, he bagged on Guy for his penchant for puke, and the Justice Gang, not League, showed up late to help with the butterflies.

I know with the multi verse people expected Peacemaker to just universe hop from DCEU to DCU, but I like this better, let the multi verse stuff serve Chris himself and the actual narrative, it's not just a quick, cheap gimmick to explain the new DCU.

I'm looking forward to more, good to have to show back after all this time.
