  1. Yeah I watched the whole Gamera series and it's what I wanted from any of the Netflix Godzilla series, it's pretty fantastic. The Godzilla CG movie trilogy was awful, part 1 was okay I guess, the other two were really bad especially part 3 with "Ghidorah", and Singular Point had some decent kaiju action, but also way, way, way, way too much science techno-babble nonsense, it was also pretty bad.

  2. Chun-Li is metallic, I get that, but what's different about Ryu? His white gi is slightly off-white? I guess I get it, Bandai clearly looked at the aftermarket prices for these figures and wanted to dip in on that, I'm positive they have zero intention of re-releasing anyone else, let alone releasing someone new. That, and/or they looked at Jada and thought OH crap, these are pretty nice, and literally a fraction of the price!

  3. I hit 53 hours on Starfield on Series X myself, loving it, exactly what I wanted and expected, a Bethesda game in space. That said I think they oversold the game tremendously, it's not the second coming, it isn't breaking any molds, it's literally just another Bethesda game, in space. The engine is certainly still showing it's age, but the NPCs look better then ever, combat is the best it's even been in a Bethesda game, the main quest is slow to start but gets fantastic, side quests are really good overall, especially faction quests, it's a great game so far and I've barely scratched the surface. I spent 1.5 hours one night in the ship builder alone, it's pretty awesome, I made a beast of a ship already, named it the Rocinante, of course, and it's black and red.

What's funny is that my son said the FX are better than The Flash movie. :spiteful:

He's not wrong, Flash looked really bad, more-so considering it apparently cost 200 million. I thought Luffy's gum-gum powers looked pretty solid overall, comparable to and on most occasions better then the two live action Fantastic Four movies, we don't talk about that goofy reboot movie with Michael B. Jordan....

Completed THE EXPANSE on Prime last night. What a great f'ing series!! One of the best space sci-fi series I've watched in a long time. A nice departure from the over familiarity of Star Trek and Star Wars.

I hope it makes a return in some way in the future. A Serenity/Firefly type of of movie would be cool!

As kajnrig mentioned the story is expanded on in Telltales The Expanse, it's in-canon with the show and the show's cast return to their roles for the game, it's really good. Telltale are the ones that make the point and click adventures, not much commitment, not much skill or real gameplay involved, it's mostly an evolving story where you get to choose the major beats, once again highly recommended.

There's a Telltale game, though I forget if it's out already or still upcoming.

Still releasing episodes, at a much better rate than their previous games, Telltale did a good job with this one.

My kid is obsessed with this franchise. I'd never heard of FNAF before.  He's counting down the days and committed to going to see it with him. And now he wants me to help him make a Freddy mask for Halloween.  :pardon:

Rubies sells whole costumes with a mask.

  7. Anyone else have a significant other getting really, really, really into that new TCG Lorcana? Holy crap, I haven't done a TCG proper since the original 151 Pokemon, never did YuGiOh or Magic, the hunt for these things is insane. The main street date release is apparently September 1st, but a number of shops got stock early to try and build the community, so frakking much for that. $7 booster packs for $15, starter decks for $30+, luminous troves for $60+, boxes of boosters packs for hundreds, it's some nasty, scalpy business. We managed to go to a shop in Boulder City that sold boosters for retail if you buy at least four, that was nice I guess.... Grabbed one gift set as well above retail, and we got one starter pack for just above retail, which wasn't terrible I suppose. Chain retailers should be getting stock soon, sucks right now, just awful, something fun for families and newbies to TCGs are hyped for this game, shitty resellers and scalpers will ruin it. I went to two of my usual places that sell magic and they're at double, triple retail in some cases, supply and demand, I get it, but gross, it's printed cardboard.

I don’t like the face without the mask, I have no idea who that was modeled after, but it definitely looks good if you never use that head and I’m definitely tempted

    Yup, doesn't look like him.

Which is crazy because I think the Robert Pattison just below that looks kind of good, both head sculpts are fairly solid on that release. Maybe the couldn't get the okay on Evan's likeness so they went with a mostly "generic" Cap unmasked head.

  9. I really enjoyed the first two episodes but they were definitely slow, catch-up episodes for some, straight up introductions for many others. As someone that thinks Rebels was up there with Empire as some of the best Star Wars ever period, I love it, for others that didn't watch, it seems it's a Star Wars show about the orange jedi lady from Mando and a bunch of "new" Star Wars characters. I'm a little surprised there's so much emphasis on Rebels and Clone Wars knowledge, as others have said, lots of fans didn't watch those and I don't really think it's a great idea to have the overall main story a continuation of a story a lot of people aren't familiar with, hell most casual fans are still wondering who or what the hell Thrawn is.

  10. My Starfield for Series X arrives early today, I'm pretty hyped, Bethesda+space really does it for me. I'm a little worried the day 1 patch won't be out until closer to the 1st, but the early leaked footage looked surprisingly stable and bug free, either way I'm excited to dive in tonight for as long as I can stay up, sleep is an optional objective...

Presumably they didn't notice the difference.  I know I didn't outside of the fact I think the blue is too bright.

...and looking up the differences now I see why I think the color is too bright.  The WS museum one is a brighter color.  Too bad they got the costumes mixed up.

I really like the First Avenger costume so if this were those colors I would probably bite, as-is, like you said, it's a bit too bright. I also really wanted Bandai to put out that Figuarts Star Spangled Man Cap, but that was just another prototype that will never see the light of day.
