buy, buy, buy!!! afaik, the exploding shoulders on the 1st release of the 0A and S have been addressed/fixed with the reissues so you're good there. as far as the 2 VF-1s you like, the VT-1 reportedly still has the knurled shoulder pins that might make it susceptible to the hinges cracking, but based on what i've read here, it has been rare. what i don't know is if the ones hlj is selling now are reissues and not part of the 1st release. if they're reissues, the issue with the shoulder pins might've been already fixed. for the VF-1S tv roy, you have nothing to worry about, as this valk already has the smooth shoulder pins installed in them. hope this helps!

maybe it is safe. i have the 1st release V2 1D and i really can't tell (hard to see) if it has knurled pins or not. transformed it a few times and it still seems to be ok. not like the VT-1 which already showed stress mark on one of the hinges after i transformed it once. the reason i included it in the list i made is because its one of the valks to be released right after the roy and hikaru's that had defective shoulders, and i think yamato was still unaware of the problem when the hikaru 1D came out. i stand corrected if the hikaru 1D indeed has smooth pins.

hey, no prob, glad to be of help! that's the reason why i went with the 1/60s. when i 1st started to get into VF-1s, i had to choose only 1 scale, due to budget and space constraints and it didn't helped that the 1/48 scale being kinda dead already at that time. another reason are the unreleased valks in the 1/48 scale that got released in the 1/60 scale: the VT-1 Super Ostritch and the VE-1 Elintseeker. here's hoping on my part that since yamato is milking the 1/60 VF-1 mold to the death is they release some more low-vis versions aside from the 1S that got released before.

i only collect v2 1/60s and that has been the case for me. what's good for those who want to get into the v2 1/60s now is that yamato is re-releasing the previous ones that had the knurled pins, like the roy and hikaru 1S w/ s&s packs and now the 1A. to the OP, based on what i know and have, here's the valks i think you should stay away for now (knurled pins) - 1st release Roy 1S (stand-alone and w/ s&s packs) - 1st release Hikaru 1S (stand alone and w/ s&s packs) - 1st release Hikaru 1A (stand alone and w/ s&s packs) - 1st release Hikaru 1J (stand alone, w/ s&s packs and 1st release of the GBP bundle) - VF-1D - VT-1 Super Ostritch afaik, anything released other than the ones i mentioned, and based on what i have, should have the smooth shoulder pins. hope this helps!

afaik, both the 1st run of the tv max and kakizaki 1As already have the smooth shoulder pins. i would like to think (based on all the v2 1/60s i have) that anything after the VT-1 should have the smooth pins already, but i might be wrong. hope this helps!

finally found a ghost booster pack for my 0S thanks to exo! eventhough its being re-release by yamato, with the shitty us-yen exchange rate, glad i was finally able to track one from a fellow mw'er. hope it arrives soon.

yup, it really varies. in both my orders with hlj that i tried sal, got the items at an average of 8 business days. my tv kakizaki has been in customs since the 1st. hope it gets out there soon...

i've ordered a number of times from hlj and opted for sal shipping and all of them have arrived with the shipping boxes having little to no dents on the sides. hope this helps!
