Hmm, that's true. I forgot that those jammers essentially worked like they should. I guess all they need is an invincible defense force to protect the jammers, since apparently Aerial Knights can take out a fleet of ships by themselves. -

Question: HIGH SPEED MODE! What (if anything) does the wing/control surface canting do, in terms of the high speed mode? Does it have any aerodynamic basis or is it just anime-kewlness? I kinda get it for the YF-19, as the leading edge of the wing gets smaller (less drag), but the other planes?

I dunno. I'm not sure that within a fighter generation they have such granular control over downtuned engine specs that some smart people couldn't bring it back up to par, if they wanted to. I think it might be more of a materials/expense thing.
