    It wouldn't surprise me with the amount of engine output that maneuvering thrusters alone could provide lift in battroid mode with the gen 5 fighters.

    I feel like this response just went way off track from what was being discussed. For me as an engineering layperson Seto, Dex, et al.'s points are clear and make a lot of sense, but I don't even know what your contention is anymore.

    Now that's interesting. If the "detuning" or trimming is just a software thing, and the engines are the same, couldn't Chaos or whoever theoretically (legally or not) re-write the software so that the -31Sigs are back up to -30 specs?

    I'd like to see people's 10 favorite Valkyrie designs of all time, based on its primary appearance (not necessarily the toy representation). I know there actually aren't that many more than 10. You can group all variants together as one entry (-1S, -1D, -1J etc.) or separately depending on how you feel about it, doesn't matter. It's just for fun. Also note if you have the toy of it!     I can't believe I waited this long to get the VF-19F. It's rocketed to my favorite valk toy! (Though not the favorite valk cartoon design, that would be the YF-21 still.)

    I don't doubt the veracity of this from the official sources, but it makes me sad to know that all the cool ships we get to see are second rate compared to this phantom model.
