Found this book recently....had never run into it before....not sure at the moment...but I don't recall if the Hikaru, Misa and Minmay illustrations are published elsewhere....perhaps Mikimoto created them specifically for this book.....would have to check my other books....

....and the one Phalanx to rule them all....

SDFM cels are indeed hard to come by lately. There have been quite a few very nice genga though. I am actually beginning to appreciate the genga more than the painted cel itself, especially if it is obvious that key animators are involved via their quality. Picked these up recently:

That's because those 3P guys don't need no stinkin' license! Otherwise hi-metal content would be limited to the feet! :/

Too skinny...but wow...have to admire that it will even be made/sold.... Kit guys have all the fun!

I think the color choice of the arrows is worse than the retention of the skull and kite emblems.......looks almost orange

If Arcadia did that....we'd have VF-4, Max & Milia VF-1J and VT-1 re-issues by now.....instead of a golden-accented VF-19 Kai....

They are made by CMs Corporation...starting in 2003 or so...there were about 4 sets made I believe...very nice figures... The Max VF pilot figure is probably the most expensive...it was a chase figure when first released.... You could be the "3P" of Macross artwork!

....lack of "certification" does not seem to keep these items from selling in the thousands....wish it did...I'd be able to rationalize adding a few more into my Macross collection....

What's with the music? Makes it seem like just another action flick. First trailer was better.

Arcadia needs a winner in 2015.....Still hoping for an SDF-1 TV...but maybe they will surprise us with some Macross II love....

meh....the VF-4 will return some day.... I'd be curious to know if it were to return as a FB2012 edition....would it tank the VF-4G VFX market price or will it hold it's value? I'm guessing you'd see VFX versions flooding the market....it's funny how that did not happen with the VF-19 golden kai....

Looks like an example of a few collectors trying to plug in that final hole in their collection for the Max....if anyone has a Max they want to sell....now would be the time....you have at least 3 potential high paying customers....with box you may even get more! Or maybe it's the holidays making people bid more than they would any other time....

Guess collectors have really lost hope in Arcadia...
