Apparently it was all about the FB 2012 license. Now I wonder if Arcadia even still has the VFX license. OK...so what's next? What will get the DX treatment and what will get the HM-R(espect)? Perhaps Bandai can finally do what Yamato tried.....a 1/100 VF-0S?

They don't roll with Bandai type money? But yeah....all those arguments that claimed Yamato couldn't do it because it was never animated on-screen were pure speculation....not even of the rational kind!

I am all in on this line....hopefully it does well...there are not that many that need to be released to be considered a "complete" set.....I don't even need the "dress" versions of all of them, but would be nice.... So looks like Misa (aka Lisa) and Roy are next....should be awesome... Production on the 1/72 VF-1S has begun and confirmed release date should be coming soon.....honestly I'm more curious about this release than the DX -1J at this point... SD GBP-1 is still in progress... Macross Fever character designs were used in the design of the 1/12 Macross Saga line! Great time to be a Macross fan!

yes, the Bandai Hi-Metal boxart for the VF-1A is also from Yuji Kaida...I know I have the book containing that image, but heck if I can find it at this time...I can post it later if anyone is interested in getting the book... The second image is a Hidetaka Tenjin if I am not mistaken....he is currently engaged in an epic rollout of boxart illustrations for Bandai's awesome HM-R line....unfortunately, AFAIK, most of that work is digital....so the only physical artwork you will find from Tenjin would be hand-drawn sketches....like this.... I have some settei sets...most are going to be copies of copies....they basically are the character and mecha sheets used by the animators to guide them when drawinging them onto the animation cels...or via computer animation these days i suppose....they are nice, but most of the art, at least from the Macross setteis i have seen, can be found in the various macross books.... Are those the Macross settei that were sold on ebay some time ago? If you bought all of those then you paid a small fortune...congrats! They are awesome!

I finally had enough stuff waiting at Anime Export to have my -31A shipped...can't believe how long they can hold stuff...either not too many people take advantage of that service or they have a huge storage room... It must be killing NY to not be able to sell their stock of -31A's at the current market rate....lol...I can imagine shelves worth of them at NY....waiting for their buyers to "give up" on hope....

Not much....as Xigfrig mentioned, 1/72 works well most of the time with 1/60 VFs and mechs....

Like others....I received the "paypal" shipping notification with the HK Post tracking number....and that shows that it shipped on Sept 21....thankfully I had that.....and paid via paypal within their Buyer protection window....think I may need to do that for future releases I guess...
