Getting close to Halloween...anyone go all out for their home Halloween displays? Seems Halloween home decorating gets bigger each year....some folks even out-do Christmas displays!! Show off what you got! Just started on mine this past weekend....yes, I am also a big NBX fan! Outside... All Hail the Pumpkin King!!!...still missing the Halloween Town sign above his pumpkin head.... Zero, the ghost dog.... Lock, Shock, and Barrel masks..... Inside.... Sally and Oogie Boogie......I didn't get a chance to setup the Jack animatronic yet.... Happy Halloween Macross World!!!

I like the CM's but the Hikaru looks too much like Edward Scissorhands! KC seems to have went all out Macross Fever for these releases... If they are indeed using the Macross Fever character designs, these are the reference art for some potential future releases....

Says available for "order" November 2018.....perhaps they mean it is being released in November? I PO'd mine several months ago when they had it at the low PO price and free tshirt... Also looks like they have Minmay available for purchase again....was listed as sold out last time I looked. Hope she sells well for KC. Wonder whatever happened to the big SDF-1?.....hopefully they received some customer feedback and went back in to fix it and not just do an upsized non-canon Hasegawa TV version...

Perhaps you need to see the available alternative....

All good points! I'd be more worried if we were dealing with a 3rd party and not the actual company itself. I can see some disreputable dealers taking advantage of such shipping shennanigans. It's kind of nice that we are able to order straight from KC and not some middleman....saves us money too! All of my interactions with KC they have been stress-free so far. They are also very quick to respond to questions. So let's hope they don't abandon their good business practices as they get bigger.

Seems like FEXT is "borrowing" design ideas from the Masterfiles crew...that cannon looks awfully similar....

Why? They still have yet to even release the Hikaru or Max that had already been announced. Additionally, these are VF-1 cockpits so expecting non-pilot figs at this point is probably a bit premature. With that said, I do hope their proposed 1/6 line does eventually expand to include other Macross characters.

Link?

Yeah...makes sense that they would just ship them as they became available....let us know your thoughts on her....you collect figures so looking forward to your thoughts on these KC figs....hoping they are decent enough to continue the line!

If anyone wants to start a build service for the VF-9.....count me in as an interested customer! I'd probably be interested in completed builds of several of Mr. Xigfrid's creations, particularly the 1/60 Vajra. Hope to see a 1/60 VF-14 M+ ver and a VA-3 soon!

A nice Macross cover is always a good reason to buy any publication! yeah....need to stay on topic, namely cel collecting on this thread..... If you need more info on the SD Convention....check out this thread and post questions regarding it...BTW, never been to one...simply too far from me, I would need to bundle the trip with something like a Disneyland trip....maybe I'll do that someday! http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/45397-super-dimension-convention-september-15-2018/

LOL....they were not our suggested prices..... We also have other Macross topics on MW besides cels... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/29133-macross-books/?do=findComment&comment=1420226 Sadly, other than the cover illustration....there's not much else, in terms of illustrations, in the mook that hasn't been covered or published elsewhere before...

Best I can muster is cautious optimism

Let's hope that day comes....so far we have nothing to indicate it will

The heat shield is a cool extra. This is a good announcement. Regrettably skipped on the -1J and really thought the mass of blue on the Max -1J was too much.....will get the Fokker -1S instead

Yep....unfortunately retailers carrying these "anniversary" valks eventually suffer from Shelf-warmer sadness....

Why not just wait until it's priced the same as a 1/100 Fext Hobby Armor?
-
Seriously? I can understand maybe curiosity with the first issue....perhaps hopes of improvement with the second....a fool's hope by the third....but after that it's pure masochism with a dash of self-loathing.
-
the asking price was $999....I am assume you paid nowhere near that price.....if you did...I need to start selling some cels myself!

I just asked the question if you thought misrepresentation was unethical. Regardless of who the person is or specific "examples" of misrepresentation, do you feel misrepresentation qualifies as unethical behavior in your book?
-
You don't have a problem with some of these scalpers coming on this board and misrepresenting themselves and their actions? Posting things on this board in an attempt to differentiate their behavior and thus try and make themselves look "more ethical" than the "other guys" doing the exact same thing? Is that not unethical behavior in your opinion?

Let's hope so....I still recall the teasing of a translated Macross Memory from Books Nippon back in the day.....I appreciate the fan translations, but being able to buy a book like that via amazon or a local bookstore would be fantastic... Well, that is good to hear, but again, not sure how well a Macross publication would fare.....

I do not think anyone here needs a lecture on how markets work. We get it. The problem is about ethics. More specifically the lack thereof. You cannot come on this site, chastise online sellers for being "bunghole" scalpers, while you are also doing the exact same thing. That is wrong and is a pathetic ploy at trying to make yourself look like a "kinder, gentler" seller.....when you are also being the same kind of bunghole sclaper yourself. What makes it worse is the repeated posts pretending that you are not partaking in such activity. Does this person belive that with enough posts their BS will eventually be believed and accepted? Sorry, I will call out BS when I encounter it. People that pay more for cels than they have to are not stupid, just uninformed. Which is why it is important to keep collectors as informed as possible with current pricing. But as with any "collectible" market....pricing can be very subjective and thus, it is fair game to analyze it. Pricing analysis can provide a better idea where the market really is...as opposed to basing current pricing on the stupidity of two nitwits engaged in a bidding war. In other words, smart and fair analysis will help collectors from not getting fooled or talked into paying $1000 for a $500 cel.

Guess we may never know for sure, unless HG relinquishes the license or someone decides to pay them to release something What would be an example and where would the info regarding number of copies actually "sold" be available? You can certainly print as many copies as you want, but the trick is to actually get folks to buy them at retail...otherwise you won't be publishing many other volumes if the existing books are becoming clearance fodder
