  1. If we do not get Bandai DX Max and Millia Super VF-1J's it will be the first time since 1983's Takatokus that we do not get "DX" scale PT toy releases of these two from a major toy company (not including the later Bandai re-releases)....we have gotten them from Yamato in V1 and V2 editions and again from Yamato in 1/48.... Surely Bandai, who is giving us a first time ever 1/48ish VF-1D, would not skip out on Super Max and Millia VF-1J's right? RIGHT?!?!? I am fairly certain we will..........then again, I was(?) also certain we would have received an HMR Tomahawk and Phalanx from Bandai..... Not sure if Takatoku had plans for actual 1/55 Super Max & Millia VF-1J's.....but you can see some mock-ups in this old school Takatoku commercial for the 1/55 Super VF-1S.....
  2. As jenius stated...the closest insinuation of it came from a GBP in Max colors....which was sporting the same head as that of a Super VF-1J Max... I think it is a good bet that we will be getting TV Max and Millia Super VF-1J's....Bandai is good at milking their molds
  3. Yes, but you asked: The short answer is because we are getting BANDAI'D!!! He never wears it AT ALL while piloting the Fan Racer....Minmay does.... So expect a super limited version of her figurine wearing the helmet that will only come packed with the first 10 GBP stand-alone sets ordered directly via the Tamashii website!
  4. ...I suppose he does technically gets to wear it with his flightsuit...so the fig is somewhat accurate....from a certain point of view?
  5. Apparently, Youtube isn't available in Japan so Bandai just went on memory of the almost 40 year old episode and had forgotten Hikaru had given the helmet to Minmay to wear.... Cool....now I know exactly when this cel appears during the episode....at 20:04 mark...
  6. The original "DX" GBP....accept no imitations! Combo Set: 4980 JPY Armor Set: 1480 JPY 3 of each has never been enough........
  7. Figured out why the resolution was so low....
  8. Honestly, that title should go to Seto Kaiba.....I'm more of an obtainer of rare Macross antiquities....
  9. Bandai took a deep dive into the archives on that one.....
  10. Thanks! I'm glad you were able to pose the DX Super VF-1S to be able to 100% recreate the original illustration with toys and in TV style! Hopefully, KC or some other company can someday make DYRL versions! Macross Forever!

  12. Based on past record....you can't trust Bandai on that... Their HMR GBP release is a DYRL version, but they painted the missile tips red....
  13. The 1982 BIGWEST copywrite on the lower right corner gives it away....
  14. To me...this is the ideal color for a TV GBP....not blue, not grey...bluish grey! lol Something close to the 283347 below.... If the finished product looks like the one shown during the Tamashii video...I'll be good with it...seems closer to the 647187 above....
  15. Wait....what are we talking about?....
  16. yes, like I said, the variations seen in the actual show can just be attributed to animation errors or inconsistencies....it does not mean they are actually different "in-universe", as you can find all shades of green-blue across episodes....TBH, you should just go with whatever you feel makes sense to you
  17. I see more green than blue...but it definitely is not devoid of some blue....you would need to mix up the colors to get the right shade... To me the TV supers have a Military green look to them...at least on that particular boxart
  18. NP! I'm sure I have an empty spot for them somewhere.....
