So not having intel on a dedicated team of Dark Side users scouring the Galaxy for both Jedi and force-sensitive kids would have nothing to do with keeping Luke safe? And that's not even including the intel on Darth Vader, who he knows is Anakin Skywalker....That's Sequel Trilogy logic right there! It works to keep the plot going I suppose.... Also....yes, he's been doing the same thing (or similar odd jobs for sure) for the last 10 years....and yet, here we are....risking it all for the twin that as of ESB, he did not even think of as having anything to do with the "hope" of bringing down the Sith.....this was his belief, his mission....and yet, for the sake of not being able to come up with any other reason to get Obi Wan "off planet", they make him "abandon his post/mission" knowing that the Inquisitors now have Tatooine in their sights and are not only hunting Jedi, but also force-sensitive kids.....what could possibly go wrong? Again, sequel trilogy logic for the sake of moving the plot along....Leia would be collateral damage, just like that Jedi Obi Wan refused to help.... As for the decision-making of the Inquisitors, they act in accordance to Vader's orders.....it was exlained in the latest episode.....Vader is probably not one to allow his subordinates to have their own agendas......Vader also has to answer to the Emperor, who still, at this point in the story, has to maintain some sort of semblance of a government "of the people".......remember, the Senate was not dissolved until ANH....Reva is the anomaly within the Inquisitors, she has her own agenda and that will ultimately be what this TV series is all about......she will either "choke in her own ambition" or "redeem" herself in a way that will keep Obi Wan and his "mission" safe......guessing it the latter....in the new "Disney" Star Wars entries, many characters pivitol to the timeline leading up to ANH seem to perish or vanish....guessing Reva is next in line

I guess WDW's Droid Depot is now canon...perhaps in the SW universe they are as ubiquitous as Autozone....lol

They do extend in/out, so I'll have to check....otherwise, I think, unless there is also glue in play...that removing the leg screw hole covers and then removing the screws will allow for easy access to the feet/thrusters....I actually have a busted leg off of a VF-1J that was replaced by KC...maybe I can experiment with that one first...- 2497 replies

But then how would she be able to be redeemed by the last episode?

I always enjoy the nods to the 80's movies they toss into Stranger Things....so far some Nightmare on Elm Street vibes and even some E.T.! I'm probably missing others...

Agreed, but the only thing that matters is that he already knows that Anakin is Darth Vader....this is why the scene in OWK that eludes to Obi Wan being in shock of the news that Anakin is still alive seems far fetched....basically in the 10 years since he last interacted with Anakin, he has heard nothing about Darth Vader causing havoc across the galaxy?....Bail, the only guy that knows his whereabouts didn't bother to tell Obi Wan that Anakin/Vader survived his encounter on Mustafar? There has been no encounters with Vader documented by Rebel intelligence? The entire Senate doesn't know of the Emperor's right hand man? Just wondering if things will get retconned or if this will just be ignored?

Obi Wan knows Anakin is Darth Vader, he and Yoda were reviewing the attack footage during a scene in ROTS...

I guess I will have to buy into an Obi Wan that in the 10 years since he found out his "brother" turned into Darth Vader that he has not heard of his existence or evil deeds across the galaxy at the service of the Emperor.... Still, I suppose the show still has 4 episodes to go.........perhaps Bail thought it was best to keep that info from Obi Wan? Which leads me to some thoughts about Andor.......Vader's got to be in it right? Perhaps even the Emperor?

I did not open my VF-1S Rick Hunter, but I did check through the box window that at least the feet were both correctly installed...lol With that said, I will have to inspect it now for any other potential issues....- 2497 replies

Yep..well, I think what they did is assembled the foot/thruster on the right leg backwards! KC apologized and said they felt it was just mine that got mis-assembled.....two replacement legs will be sent to me... As far as the "confused color" placement...I had let KC know about it a while back when they released the Max and Ben VF-1A's, which they also "confused" the colors on....oh well, not that big of a deal....I'll just have to live with it If anyone gets their VF-1A Standard, hope yours is put together correctly!- 2497 replies

So my KC 1/72 VF-1J "Standard" and VF-1S "Rick Hunter" came in.... I only opened up the VF-1J Standard...the VF-1S "Rick" is more or less going to be the same as the recently released VF-1S Roy.... The colors on the VF-1J Standard are the same as those used for the VF-1A Standard....here you can see the difference between the shade of light brown used between the VF-1J Standard and the VF-1A "Ben Dixon".... OK....so now I ask you eagle-eyed MWers....who can spot the problem with my VF-1J Standard? Hint: KC kind of Aracdia'd me! I have reached out to KC about it....maybe it is just a problem with mine, but if not, this will really put their customer service to the test....- 2497 replies

Macross Frontier Movie I & II - US Theaters
jvmacross replied to sh9000's topic in Movies and TV Series
I bought the Macross Frontier The Movie 30th d Shooting Star b Bluray Boxset years ago for the illustration books it contained....but I have never actually watched the movies, guess maybe I should....I like the tv series enough, but not enough to go and pay for subtiled movie versions on the big screen....I made an exception for Macross Plus a few months ago to support the "cause" (a total of 3 people at my showing), but will definitely pass on these releases....time to dust off the MacF Movie boxset!- 109 replies

The "re-designs" for the DYRL mech lineart a few years after the original SDFM TV lineart....but perhaps somewhere in the multiverse your suggestion exists and there is someone complaining how the TV versions should have been used first.... Luckily, I prefer the original TV designs over the DYRL re-designs anyways...

Bandai probably had some idea of their Macross collectibles' global demand and their production runs, pre-BW/HG deal, likely reflected that...basically, they had to know that their production runs weren't all going to local Japanese Macross fans...after the WWM releases, actual demand should start getting clearer for Bandai....my only concern is that they will find out that the actual demand is no different than their estimated demand...to be honest, after 40 years of selling Macross out the back door, Bandai probably already knows what that actual demand is...the plan now is probably just to try and expand it....

It wouldn't bother me if it did, but I prefer non-rainbow canopies on VF's... The VF-0S in the video posted earlier seems to not have any rainbow glare, but I'm sure it is not a final production sample...guess we'll find out eventually

Outside of Japan, WWM POs have so far been drama free....looking forward to sleeping right through the HMR VF-0S's Japanese PO window... Guessing the preferred US retailers will have this by Friday or early next week....at this point I'm not worried about missing out on getting one from somewhere...this has been the best thing about the BW-HG deal....Sadly, I know eventually I will have to step back into the madness when the next SDFM/DYRL item is announced....
