  1. Considering what the characters looked like in the 80's comic book, they should be called the pre-Teen Titans. The cartoon blows.
  2. It's because of Anime Fiend, isn't it? Every time there's a wonderful moment it seems Anime Fiend finds some way of ruining it over all. lol perhaps.. they do it make it harder to watch... kinda like NASCAR's new BS rules... It probably has to do what I've been watching lately more than anything, Berserk (for the third time)and the new Fist of the North Star OVA.
  3. ADV did a good job on the Mospeada DVD set. I sold mine on ebay awhile back. I don't like Mospeada as much as I used too.... I'm having the same problem with the SDF Macross TV series....
  4. Ugh the N64 was your first console? Ugh I'm old (almost 30) and ya open wheel racing sucks
  5. So how long before this new RT fan fiction becomes RT canon? Well that's kinda the samething I guess lol
  6. If Yamato wants to re release the VF-1S, that's fine with me. The whining on MW is really getting tiresome.... That being said, I own two 1/48 VF-1S. One is great and the is a POS in a pile of parts...I might by the new version. With the Hikaru VF-1S and VF-1J coming it'll have to wait though..
  7. or for those Macross fans (otakus)who are 30 and still live at home with their parents with no bills to pay lol No destroids, for me at least at a 1/60 scale. Too expensive. Not really that interesting to me. The 1/60 monster will probably be made of high "quality" plastic...

    1/48 VF1J

Just the VF-1J without the packs for me. Too much money at once and I don't like the FPs on the Hikaru VF-1J. I already have 4 DYRL FP kits anyway. I hope Yamato gets the pilot figure right this time. The 1/60 Hikaru VF-1J had a Hikaru DYRL pilot..even though the preproduction versions had a TV style version.
  9. Great so both companies can block each other's products..good way to keep a fanbase happy.... Here's a little tidbit about more Macross nonsense from Anime Weekend Atlanta...not sure what to make of this...
  10. Hmm my most memorable moment would be the beginning of episode 3 where the animation, both in quality and consistency, take a nose dive. Another for me would be Roy, dead on the floor lol
  11. Nope and I'm not going to. 400.00 for that, is a waste of money. Maybe if Yamato would consider a normal sized version of the monster I'd buy that.
  12. Are you using this disc on a PS2? If you are, that's your problem. The PS2 is notorious for the "cannot read disc" message.
  13. here are some pics: http://www.geocities.com/death_005/berserk.htm
  14. lol the PS1/PS2 should be seperate. I voted for the PS one and I'm sure I'm older than you. But if I had a choose between the PS2 and SNES, I'd choose the SNES. SNES was fun. So was the PS One. The PS2 overall is annoying. The PS2 has too many garbage games vs good ones.
  15. And this is the reason my interest in the Macross franchise has dropped. I'm so sick of this crap. Both companies need settle this....in the mean time the fans suffer... Thankfully I have other anime interests that don't have this soap opera BS.
  16. I hope there is more. This series rules. An OVA or movie I don't care I want more. The manga is going to start in the US in October. The PS2 Berserk game was at the Tokyo Game Show this past weekend.. Most of the pics I found, Guts(Gatsu) is already the Black Swordsman like in the Dreamcast game. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/berserk...ew_6076052.html very bloody is the description. lol I'm sure it will come to the US. At least this time more people outside of Japan will know what Berserk is unlike when the Dreamcast game came out. That's an excellent game btw.
  17. PS One. Some of those games I really like alot. I grew up on Atari, Colecovision, NES, Genesis, SNES but the PS one really pushed gaming into new areas. Not all for the good though....the PS2, so far, really hasn't really delivered. Sure there are some good games but the ratio is like 1 good to 15 bad. Most of the games are terrible. I really wish the Sega Dreamcast would have lasted. I've been playing that more than my PS2...
  18. The Virtual Boy is the worst. I remeber almost passing out after trying it at Toys R Us lol Sega's 32X and Sega CD were really bad. I owned a Sega CD. ugh Tons of bad FMV games. Before Atari, IIRC there was Odyessey that was bad. Atari 2600 for its time was good until Intellivision and Colecovison came out.
  19. Here is the a shot of the box art. Kinda cool.
  20. Well now its been pushed back to ....January lol Macross 3 Disc Box Set – January 31st, 2004 http://www.animeondvd.com/
  21. Oh boy I can smell another Macross Zero buy the official R2, bootlegs vs fansubs, why are there no English subs, damn HG etc thread.... thankfully Macross Zero is only 5 volumes....only two more bitchfests to go
  22. Ya Vagrant Story was cool. I think it did better in the US than in Japan. Too bad there won't be a sequel any time soon. Chrono Cross' only saving grace was the music. The rest of the game was awful. Square tried their hands with fighting games with mixed results. Tobal 1 and 2 were terrible. Bushido Blade was cool for its time. The first one seemed so unfinished. You could use a game shark to unlock a few things they were not normally playable. The second was alright except they took away the ability to cripple your opponent. Ehrgeiz was ok. I think Namco was involved with this one. The mulit-3D planes made for some cool fights. There were also mini games and a dungeon mode. Its obvious Sqaure's best efforts are far behind them. They haven't really tried anything new(outside of RPGs) since the FF movie bombed (rightfully so). They'll play it safe with games that have "FF" in the title because they know Sqaure/FF obsessed fanboys will buy anything with "FF"on it. A Final Fantasy Fishing game with characters from the games would probaly sell well lol. btw I wonder why Xenogears never became a greatest hits title after its two printings.
  23. Be careful what you wish for. Doesn't Mangle have the rights to the original series? I'd hate to see them follw it up by ruining a brand new OVA. Mangle has rights to the first 36 episodes of the TV series. As of now they aren't doing anymore. I had heard rumors that Gutsoon Entertainment would do with a US release of the new OVA once Mangles rights are done. They are the parent company of Rajin comics who publish the new FOTNS graphic novels and prequel Fist of the Blue Sky comics.
  24. The Macross Box set from Mangle will include The Macross Plus OVA and ....Macross II...? So much for a remaster of Macross Plus Movie Edition. I wonder if any of content here will be remastered..probably not. http://www.rightstuf.com/1-800-338-6827/ca...tem/60512/4/0/0 TRSI is having a 40 % off Manga Video sale btw. use the coupon code in check out Coupon Code: festival Expires: 10/2/03
  25. The bootlegs of this are on ebay. The video quality is good and so are the subs. I hope this gets an offical US release some day.
