  1. It's kinda cool looking in Gerwalk. It's like a tank with wings!
  2. I just saw this. Really cool. I wish they were in 1/60 as I don't have any 1/48's.

    VF-171

Not that it's a fantastic Gerwalk mode to begin with but I don't remember those giant gaps in it's back when in G mode. Fighter mode looks okay if a little... gappy. Battroid is sufficiently slimmed down just like in the show.
  4. I really only own 1/60 Yammies and as much as I love, love, love the look of the VF-1 I think based on looks and build quality it would have to be the VF-11C.
  5. No it doesn't lock to the chest plate. It gives the arms more play/pose-ability with the moving plate.
  6. That's a tough call, I love both my Elintseeker and the two VF-11C's I own.
  7. I'm up for a YF-19 V2. Double Nuts is cool but the Fighter and Gerwalk modes just don't cut it for me. The Kai looks like what I wanted in the YF.
  8. Well, those molds look really excellent. For those of you who can afford it can you take a hell of a lot of pics so those of us with less income/modeling skill can live vicarously?
  9. I think the 11C looks much better than the 11B as well. Pink head stripe and all. We're all in agreement the pilot looks like some horrible blob however.
  10. You know, engineering is an iterative process. We would all like to get things working great the first time but more often than not it's a case of try, try again.
  11. As much as I love the paint scheme and look of the VF-11C I do wish they had the old style 11B rifles. The Bayonet does look much better.
  12. As it stands now it shouldn't be too difficult to make something that works for the existing toy. Likely they'd have to release a special version with the little wing flaps on the front of the legs that fold down just like on the VF-1's. Otherwise, there are small places along the legs where the leg armor could snap in to and the backpack thrusters easily fit into the existing spot where the fast packs already plug in. Looking at the lineart it doesn't look like it would be as difficult to do on an existing VF-11.
  13. I would totally rock a VFX-11 with the blue color scheme. While not radically different from a standard VF-11C I'd go for a Raven's scheme as well. The added stripes and different colored nose cone make for a nice contrast. I suppose if I took the time to learn to paint toys I could easily get another 11C and modify accordingly I suppose.
  14. I own two 11C's and I love them.
  15. They could just leave it off like they did the 22's.
  16. Maybe, if it had decent poseable/bendable knees I'd get one to pose next to my other 1/60's. At $400 and no modeling skills this other kit is out of my price range. I'm not upset like some others, just can't get/use it.
  17. Wow, looks good. I can't get one though, I dislike the color scheme too much. 19S or F would be a cool replacement though I prefer the look of the longer wings on the Kai and earlier VF-19 models.
  18. It could possibly because it's still prototype but look at the back of the legs in those two semi-side shots. There are huge gaps carved into the back of the thing No doubt so the legs will fold up further when in Fighter mode so they don't hang so far down and to provide room for the larger shoulders to fit better. Not a big surprise considering how the Hi-Metal Kai and 19S have missing parts on the back but look how deep some of thsoe grooves go, halfway through the calf.
  19. I do believe a representative from Toynami posted on these forums asking what else we would like to see and the majority voted for some Mospeada Figures.
  20. It's possible. I don't want to break it. There's pretty much no hip articulation inwards or outwards on mine. Though, that won't help the crappy Gerwalk mode much.
  21. The only reason it's poseable is because of that stand. The lack of movement in the hips limits it, which is why it pretty much can't be posed in Gerwalk.
  22. I finally got my 19S yesterday. Now I know why there wasn't much effort put into Gerwalk, it's not terribly poseable and the wings tend to be a floppy mess. Actually, I regret getting this thing. It's fighter mode still has all of the issues of 1/60 Yammie, the Gerwalk actually looks worse and isn't as poseable as the 1/60, and despite not being as floppy and the chest holds together better than the 1/60 Yammie it really isn't as poseable in Battroid either. I like the use of the metal joints for portions of it but it's just not as dynamic in motion as the VF-1 was in battroid.
  23. I really love what you did with that 11C
  24. Thanks for the link. Either it doesn't pose well in Gerwalk or they totally phoned those poses in.
