  1. Nice grab on that. You've been busy on YJA I see! That is definitely cheaper than what you can get for such valks. Yes, most of the valks in SG are kinda overprice. Way better off searching for it online. Also, I'm guessing that you'll be charged abt 270+ SGD for it. I paid mine for 270 which was 19860JPY by paypal..
  2. Not bad.. http://page17.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v318682840
  3. Maybe we'll only see the box few days/a week before release? There's still about half of November left to go to release this.
  4. Same colour gunpod. Probably not.
  5. Swoosh it all around the office.

Lol! Now that Chas has mentioned it. I look back and think yeah. It is too complicated. Dunno why the mechanical pencil didnt come across my mind since I've used it before.. Thats the easiest easiest option. Or just leave it, again like what Chas said.

Scyla's pretty much said it. If you want an easy way, go with the Gundam marker for panel lines, the thinnest one. Just line it down like a normal pen. You can just clean any excess and make it look even with a damp towel or cloth or your fingers but that'll be abit more messy. That solution might or might not work since there's a layer of clear coat on it. I've tried before that it's kinda hard to remove the excess of the Gundam marker after you've painted and layered a clear coat over the model. Maybe I've just missed something but to my experience it's not easy to do so. Another way would be the paint. You can just work with any acrylic or oil paint which can be easier to get than Gundam markers. Thin it with some water, dip a brush and just run it down the line. Same process of removing excess, use a damp towel/cloth after you've let it dry for some time. How hard you remove the excess is up to you to even it out with the other panels. You can google it up or youtube. There are lots of helpful tutorials, tips and videos on the oil/acrylic paint wash method. I might have missed some things so hopefully some of the more skilled modellers would come by and have more inputs about it.
  8. Maybe they just need earlier upfront payment before the release itself? To get an idea of numbers? Like how the YF-19 requires you to pay 6 months in advance..
  9. lol! It's inspiring to see at least Makes me wanna do it to mine. Though there's that possibility of screw ups..
  10. Yeah those definitely look good. Does the clear coat play a part or it'll be fine without one? I just wanna add those little details cause it makes the valk looks nicer to me. Details are always nice. Also, how would I know what surfaces to clean? Or just clean the whole thing? With what too? Thanks all. First toy, kinda unsure. Been just playing with model kits.
  11. Yeah.. had a feeling it was just my eyes We'll see when it releases this month. Should be coming soon right?
  12. Finally managed to snap some pics of this guy. My first yammie, love it. Thing was so tight out of the box I was afraid I'd break something. I'll detail it up and transform it once I have more time next month. Anyone have any tips to not make the sticker looks so.. stickerish? Does trimming it down help? Would it hold in place well and last even after the trim?
  13. Small collection. Waiting on December preorders of Hik 1S and Isamu's 29. Also the YF-19 in April (seems so long). Charaworks 1S came with 2 left boosters so it doesn't have any packs on. The 2 25s are the bandai model kits. Currently only the 25s are displayed in detolfs, the 1s are all over the place with the super TV in its box still. Detolf is full of other stuff. Might rearrange or think of other display areas once preorders come in in December.
  14. Hey, as long as you're happy with your purchases, a little bit of overpaying should be fine
  15. The right one is the supposed Arcadia VF-1S and the left is the Yamato, right? Seems to me that the Arcadia white is brighter or my eyes are just playing tricks on me.. lol. So I'm guessing that's the new DYRL VF-1 white that we'll see in the upcoming releases.
  16. Aw.. I was kinda looking forward to the off-white DYRL scheme, considering it's my first. Oh well, white white is fine too. Decals are the best. So that means that the revised YF-19 will be a slightly lighter tan-yellow-cream than it is now?
  17. Considering the size of them both, not really surprised that EMS shipping is that much. How much was it total? And how're the condition of them? If the conditions are good and the prices are lower than what you normally find around, I guess it's still a steal.
  18. I agree. The colours on the prototype are very nice as it is and accurate enough. Maybe he's following tweets that are seen as the "majority" that are saying that the prototypes are too dark? I'm curious too if there are anyone who's saying that current colours are good enough. But still, we will just have to wait till the new sample comes out and hope that it's not too much of a colour change.
  19. Woo.. that is some crazy work there lancalot. Taking apart and repainting a $200-ish toy.. Still... am looking forward to it finished!
  20. Heh. I always thought the the YF-19 was (edit) cream.. White hasn't even crossed my mind to describe the 19. Maybe just a lighter shade of tan than the current one? Eitherway, we'll see when pics of the redone one are up. edit: after looking at technoblue's link, the cream is more of what I see the 19 as.
