  1. No way. Saw the trailer when I saw ROTS and it looks absolutely crap. Definitely one to avoid like the plague. Graham
  2. One thing I hate about the modern M16/M4 is the A2 style pistol grip. Gotta be the most uncomfortable rifle grip ever designed IMO (at least for my hand). Not only is it too skinny (and I only have average size hands), but that bloody finger groove is intensly uncomfortable for me. It falls right under my finger instead of between. If I were to ever buy an M16/M4 type rifle, the first thing I would do would be to replace the standard grip with an Ergo Grip. Mind you, I'd rather have an FN FAL, HK G3 or that Robinson Recon M96 rifle anyday over an M16/M4. Graham
  3. Finding the 1/60 VF-1S Strike Valk is not too difficult in HK. Also, the Max & Milia 1/60 Q-Raus are quite easy to track down, especially the Max. But yes as Andy said, the 1/48s are getting harder to find and more expensive. Graham
  4. Sorry, I don't get the title of this thread. I found it easily enough, so how can it be lost? Graham
  5. According to the RotS Increadible Cross Sections book, the S-Foils on the ARC-170 are supposed to be heat sinks. They open up to help dissipate heat generated by the guns and shields. Graham
  6. Does the nose of that ARC-170 look a little short? Graham
  7. I'm also looking for these Revell kits as they haven't popped up here in HK so far. Graham
  8. I usually order original Japanese R2 anime DVDs from CD Japan. I find their service to be pretty efficient. Graham
  9. I heard it wasn't a cost issue for the F2, rather Japan's military is supposed to be purely defensive in nature, hence the name 'Self Defence Force'. Putting CFT's or even drop tanks on the F2 would greatly extend it's range making it capable of offensive operations....a big No No. Graham
  10. Just checked my big F-15 book and it says the F-15's CFTs (FAST Packs) were first tested in prototype form in 1974 and entered service in 1975, long before Macross Graham
  11. On the subject of Airwolf's armament, I seem to remember the opening had a schematic of Airwolf, which listed it as carrying Bullpup missiles. This is pretty funny as the Bullpup missile was already being phased out of US service in the 1970s and completey removed from service by 1982. This means that Airwolf which first aired in 1984 was carrying obsolete missiles Graham
  12. I completely agree with that. I don't want to read anything about season 2 before I see it. Graham
  13. I'm just not liking these mecha designs. Graham
  14. That's interesting about the leaks. Never heard that before. Graham
  15. I hope you mean 'screw-in'? If not, you sure have weird sexual preferences. Graham
  16. Lucas changed it so that the Light Bulb shot first. Graham
  17. No news of any new CM's figues. Guld and Isamu in pilot suits would be nice as well. And I'm still waiting for my DYRL shower scene Minmay figure Graham
  18. Will look better with the hanger pods extended IMO, but it's great that you've made it with the option to build it either way. Graham
  19. As for myself, I've always liked girls in micro-mini skirts, but each to his own I guess . Graham
  20. Cobywan, great work. I notice you have it with the hangers retracted. Can they be extended? Graham
  21. Conformal fuel tanks, called FAST Packs (Fuel And Sensor Tactical) first appeared on the F-15 Eagle nearly 3 decades ago. I'm sure David or some of the other aviation buffs on this site would know the exact year they entered service. Kawamori got the idea from them, not the other way round. Graham
  22. 'Tread', not 'Thread'. Graham
  23. I've taken a heck of a lot of pics of my baby with my cell phone camera when he decides to do something cute, which I would otherwise have missed due to not carrying my regular camera with me. And cell phone cameras are getting better. The one on my current phone is 1.3 mega pixels, 1280x1024 pixels resolution, takes pretty good pics in daylight. Not so good at night though and no flash . Of course cell phone cameras (with the electronic shutter noise turned off) are great for taking upskirt shots of cute miniskirt-wearing girls standing in front of you on the escalator (or so I've been told). Graham
  24. Hey, I also train in Arnis . I've also recently been studying the 15th century “Liechtenauer tradition” of German 2-handed longsword fighting. I also didn't think the final fight was as good (or realistic) as I'd been led to believe from a swordsmanship standpoint. It's been billed for months as the longest sword fight in the history of cinema with the actors having to learn hundreds or thousands of moves, but in actuality I found it very repetative. I thought all the other fights in the movie were actually much better than the final fight. Basically it seemed for most of the fight that both Anakin and Obi Wan were just doing diagonal strike, parry, diagonal strike, parry, reapeat ad nauseam, very little variety in attacks. Graham
  25. Now that I've seen the movie, I sort of wish I hadn't played the game before watching it, as the game kind of spoiled the movie for me. I'm not talking about the movie cut scenes that were in the game, I was fine with watching those before actually seeing the movie. What did spoil my enjoyment of the movie was the fact that the game had so much extra stuff like additional droids and characters that were not in the movie. I sat through the movie yesterday, expecting to see all these things and was very disappointed at not seeing Anakin fight Nick Gillard as Cin Drallig. Graham
