  1. Yeah, but Dolph Lungren's mad priest/assasin character was great in that movie. I would have totally paid to see a movie just about that character staring Dolph. Graham
  2. I actually like Fifth Element and sorta have a soft sport for the RE movies. I bought all of them on DVD. Never was into the games, so any lack of consistency doesn't bother me. Graham
  3. Hence, why it is often referred to as 'Star Trek the motionless picture. Graham
  4. Cool for those that like em', but not my thing. I'll pass. Graham
  5. Hah, "blame the toys", this is obviously a cunning plan instigated by your wife to get you to stop collecting toys. She's probably seeded the area around your toys with itching powder and as soon as you throw away your toys, the itching will 'mysteriously' disappear. Of course when you attempt to buy any new toys it will come back again. Cunning are the ways of women. Graham
  6. Actually, jenius has a review of the Kaiyodo and Movic variable VF-1 toys up on his Scorched Earth Toys website, surprised he didn't mention it. Graham
  7. I got to try transforming that at Wonderfestival a couple of years ago. It was incredibly fiddly, extremely lose and had no locking at all that I can recall. From what I remember, many of the parts were joined together by wire or fishing line. Graham
  8. Yes, but they were non transformable. I still have them. Graham
  9. Max VF-1S has a black heat shield......WTF!!!!! It should be blue damn it! Sorry, I refuse to accept that black is anything but an animation error. Gonna have to pick up a second DYRL Max 1A when they come out, so I can I can snag the blue heatshield for the 1S. Oh well, planning to keep ithe Max 1S in fighter mode mostly anyway. Graham
  10. That's from last month's hobby mags. New mags should be out by this Friday, so hoping for some new pics. Graham

Ya' missed the small print! Graham

    I second that. Graham
  14. Jasonc, has anybody ever told you, you bear a resemblance to a young Jean-Claude Van Damme? Graham
  15. .......checks in. Sees there's still no news of a complete Macross Frontier BGM collection CD. checks out.......... Graham has left the building.

    yamato's next move

I don't hate the VF-4. But it's never really appealed to me either. There's lots of other VFs I'd prefer to see made before the VF-4. While I'd like to say I have that much influence at Yamato, I doubt what I say will effect their final decision too much in the end. Graham
  17. Definitely in the tens of thousands. Steel tooling is very expensive. Graham
  18. Spartan would require all new toooling. No tooling from the Tomahawk/Defender/Phalanx can be reused. Tooling is very expensive. Yamato is not sure the Spartan would actually make a profit. Graham
  19. Heh, unless I'm color blind or my laptop's display seetings are screwed up, I'm seeing it more as a dark blue than green. Graham

    yamato's next move

VF-0D, VF-4 and one more VF (I'm not saying which) are on the short list for the next 1/60 PT Valk, to be released next year. VF-4 is currently least favorite though, so VF-4 fans don't get your hopes up too high. Graham
  21. Can somebody PM me where you guys are downloading it from. My Web-Fu is weak today and I can't find it at the usual sites. Graham
  22. Buy a Toynami Masterpeice VF-1, LED already preinstalled. Graham
  23. Non-VF-1, means NOT VF-1. More repaints coming for VFs other than the VF-1. G-
  24. Since the 1/60 YF-19 was released, I've been pestering Yamato to release more color variations, specifically a white version, based either on the white w/blue or white w/orange trim Project Super Nova versions, first shown in the TIAS Macross Plus bok and later featured heavily in a couple of issues of Model Graphix magazine. More recently, I've been pushing them to realease a white w/yellow and black trim version, similar to a custom that one of our members did. I forget who, possibly, Kurt or Jung? (See attached pic). I really wanted this Focker version, with the possible addition of a vertical black stripe down the side of the olower legs and also a black stripe terminating in a pointy end running along the nose, below the cockpit. I'm not sure why you guys are refering to the "Double Nuts" (stupid name IMO) version as an Angel Bird. To me, it looks just like a standard YF-19, but with white plastic instead of the standard light-tan. I''ve known about the VF-22 for ages, but not the choice of color schemes. Yamato were pushing hard to be allowed to do an M7 Max & Milia version, but I still don't know if they got approval from BW. As to whether this is an official MD7 Gamlin version, or just someting made to lok close to it, I don't know, but I will check. Mr. March - I'm gonna have to rewatch MD7 again tonight, cus' it really surprised me that you show Gamlin's VF-22 as green(!?). From previous viewings, I always got the impression it was black, or at least very dark grey, nearly black. And yes, there are more non-VF-1 repaints in the works. Graham
  25. Max 1s & 1A out now in Hong Kong. Will pick up mine tomorrow.
