  1. worried about the Super Fold Booster fitting existing Altos, not the Armour pack.
  2. Kudos to Bandai for listening to customer feedback and at least considering modifying the neck and head lasers on the VF-25S.
  3. The Armor Pack sculpt looks awesome. One question, did we ever see a VF-25 fighter w/Armour Pack use it's rear landing gear in the anime? If yes, I wonder how Bandai will handle that?
  4. Close the feet to balance in Gerwalk mode, so it's balancing on the tips of it's toes.
  5. I wonder if the reaction missiles from the weapons set will be able to fit onto the Armored Pack? Graham
  6. I really want this line to be successful, as the idea of smallish scale, reasonably affordable, transformable Valks from every series is great in concept. However, with this first release, the excecution is rather disappointing I do hope Bandai sticks with it and makes improvements and doesn't allow the line to die quietly away. Graham
  7. Yeah, price is dropping and in several shops they are just sitting on the shelf. I think Bandai is going to have to have a rethink of the concept if they want the line to be successful. Graham
  8. Here's a question for those that have the Super Pack. Do the bars that the shoulder missile packs sit on in Battroid mode have to be removed for fighter mode? Graham
  9. I've been thinkng about these webshop exclusives quite a lot over the last few days. The more I think about it, I think it's probably the way of the future for products for niche franchises such as Macross and it's something we will see more and more of. From Banda's side, being able to cut out the middlemen such as wholesalers from the equation allows them to make more of a profit and also by taking preorders several months before production starts also gives them a clearer idea of the exact quantity they need to produce. While it sucks for us fans outside of Japan, we are not Bandai's intended market anyway. Graham
  10. Any chance of some photos? Quite interested to see the custom work. Graham
  11. Poor 1/100 ain't getting no love. Graham
  12. Been making myself spend more time with the 1/100 and trying to like it, but sorry, I just don't find it a fun toy at all. The DX is far more enjoyable and likeable IMO. Graham
  13. Sounds like I'm being accused of BSing here. Not that I need to prove myself, but In this case, no Yamato didn't remember about the color differences on the VF-11B logo. The mistake already also went unspotted on the GNU VF-11B figure remember. A member here spotted the error and posted it on MW and I emailed Yamato on Feb 17 to inform them. They then checked and found yes, they were using the wroong color logos. I do have the Gmail correpsondence to back up my claims also. Graham
  14. Curse you Bandai. I already have two of the first issue VF-25F Alto DX and two of the first issue VF-25S Ozma DX. That means as they lack the correct holes, I can't use the Super Fold Booster with any of my first generation DX. So, if I want to mount the Super Fold Booser on an Alto VF-25F, I'm gonna have to buy an all new Ver. 1.5 with the extra holes when they are released in April.......Grrrrrrrr! These things are not cheap either! Really short sighted planning there Bandai.... !!!!!! Starting to loose patience with these shennanigans. Hopefully Bandai will redeem themselves with the Armoured Pack for the VF-25S. Graham
  15. DX VF-25 Pilot is probably the right size if it's meant to be Micro Klan. Graham
  16. The one real weak spot on the 1/72 model kit IMO, is the tab on the underside of the nose, that locks into the back of the groin piece in battroid mode. I think no matter how careful you are it has a limited lifespan and will break sooner or later if you transform the toy often enough. The 1/100 feels flimsy, but is probably not. Still too early to tell though. I guess these probably won't get transformed a great deal, due to the fiddlyness of the parts-swapping. Agree about the paint on the 1/60 DX being nearly as delicate as decals on the model kit. Graham
  17. Thought this thread was going to be about practicing MMA, not watching TV shows about it. Graham
  18. 1/48 definitely has more presence, but as I'm only displaying Macross toys and nothing else, I like to have all VFs in the same scale. Graham
  19. No, the locking gear was actually in the strut. Graham
  20. Better pics on page 20 of the 2 seater thread. Seriously dude, it's not that hard to search for them yourself. Graham
  21. Telescopic and rotating landing gear with locking mechanism to stop them collapsing under the weight of the toy is perfectly feasible in 1/60 scale. One of the members here once built and sent me a working prototype to show Yamato. It worked damn well. Graham
  22. Notes to Bandai if you are listening. I can live with all the fiddly small parts and parts swapping, but if you want me to carry on buying these things for a 5,000+ Yen price, then at least make the following changes: - 1) Sell these things with a simple display stand and adaptors for all 3 modes, not just Battroid and Gerwalk. 2) Rework your Gerwalk stand adaptor so that it allows a spread-leg stance. 3) For fighter mode, engineer in some locking pegs for the wing gloves, to stop them flapping up all the time and also add some locking pegs for the lower legs to stop them sagging. Graham
  23. VT-1 was already publically announced and pictures were published in a recent issue of Macross Chronicles. This was scanned and posted in either the scoop thread or the 2-seater thread a few weeks ago already. If VT-1 is coming, of course VE-1 is coming (and very nice too). Graham
  24. All my 1/48s have recently been removed from my display cabinet, cleaned and packed in plastic storage boxes that I bought specially for the purpose of storing them. The V2 1/60 VF-1 has now completely replaced the 1/48 in my display cabinet. There are three reasons I decided to stop displaying my 1/48s: - 1) The new 1/60 has 2-seaters (VT-1, VE-1 & VF-1D). 2) The new 1/60 takes up less space, so I can display more Valks. 3) All the PT Valks in my display cabinet (with the exception of the VB-6), are now in a consistant 1/60 scale.
