The first trailer is out. I'd link it but I'm lazy. I really enjoyed the book, but I dunno what to make of the trailer.

Elba could be a wonderful Bond, assuming they don't stick him with shite scripts.

Per Tyrion in the books: Valyrian steel blades were scarce and costly, yet thousands remained in the world, perhaps two hundred in the Seven Kingdoms alone.

Man, I only begrudgingly let people have water in my car, forget about cheeseburgers.

Nowhere near enough to make up the difference. I mean, I can make assumptions too, and say manual drivers are more likely to cause accidents because they all think they're driving in the Indy 500 or have seen Days of Thunder too many times.
-
Of course automatics are in more accidents, only 6.5% of cars (as of 2013) in the U.S. are sold with manual transmissions.

I'm 6'2. I like my comfort. I like my roominess. I like my luxuries like iPod integration, XM, Nav, heated seats, etc etc.

And that's the thing, Erik: relaxing.

Well, I guess technically you can drive my car like a stick, but it's not what you guys would consider legit, lol. And I didn't even get the model with the paddles.
-
So, I'm curious: am I the only one who browses this thread who can't drive stick? (I assume not, but if I were to guess I'd say more can than can't)

Certainly one of the more unsettling and disturbing films I've seen. Not to be missed.

LOL, what? Clooney is by far the most talented person involved in that production.

Bond has been around for 53 years. Star Wars for 38 years. How does one do a war movie franchise? How many times can someone save Private Ryan or kill Colonel Kurtz? Oh, and Trek is niche.

One underperforming movie doesn't stop multi-billion dollar franchises.
