  1. My X45's in the garage due to lack of use. I rarely use it anymore and the only games I have installed are the Yu-Gi-Oh games. *bricked* X_x Even when I did use X45, it was somewhat plagued with sensitivity issues. Ah well. If anyone's interested, my X45's in good shape with the installion disc somewhere.
  2. Finally got Alt Grimlock at Target here in Simi Valley, CA. In mine there's a bit of damage in one of the unseen leg pieces which affect foot placement (and posing). However, it's really a non-issue since I'm only keeping Grimmy in one pose. I'll post a pic later to describe. Once again, Hasbro mucked it up with the instructions. Not enough detail so I ended up popping off the forearms. Thank Ladon they can pop back in. (Cookie goes to who can correctly figure out the Ladon reference.) Hood was a bit tricky but in the end everything locked into place right. Grimlock might be a Ford Mustang GT, but he's still the big badass Dinobot. Literally too. Might be the legs and shoulders, but he does look bigger than the previous Alts. I spotted Swindle and Windcharger there too, so they're all yours! I stopped collecting comics around ten years ago, so Dreamweave's closing/evading is no biggie to me. 'Nuff Said. '''
  3. Anyone in or around the Simi Valley, California area: I scoped out an Alt Swindle in the Target toy aisle. Only one there so Happy hunting. I didn't get it myself because frankly a Jeep Wrangler TF that isn't Hound/green isn't a TF I'll be buying. I'd be better off getting that Power Rangers SPD Megazord. LOL *bricked* X_x Besides, they didn't have Grimmy. T_T
  4. I've finally gotten my Silverstreak. It's a lefty to match the others and thanks to the holiday season, I got to pick the best looking of the five boxes on the Walmart shelves. Some may think "big deal" but it is to me. Bluestreak/Silverstreak was the first G1 TF I ever got as a kid. High sentimental value there. There were many Autobots I wanted as a kid but couldn't get so the Alternators line has been a godsend for a TF fan like me. Got Smokey, 'Swipe, 'Streak, Hound, and Tracks. Still debating on "Jazz" and I really want Grimmy. I enjoy my RiD Prime so the GF Prime/Convoy will be great IMO. Now if only they'd create an "Omega Prime" for Galaxy Force, if you catch my drift. ^___^
  5. It's not a case of masking the toy but more of what color of toy I prefer, such as my black GCN. =P Gunbuster, good job finding the info and pic. v^_^ The DS-SP TV is a good example of using peripherals to enhance a handheld. The point I was trying to make was my wish for Nintendo to make a peripheral that would make the DS **fully** backwards compatible with previous GB/GBC/GBA titles, complete with ability to use the link cables, GBA wireless adapter, etc. If not, just goes to show that Nintendo's gonna once again milk us until the next-gen GB system. Personally, if Capcom makes MegaMan Zero 4 for the DS, I'm sold. Playing old-skool games on a handheld lacking X and Y buttons are driving me bonkers. @_@ Maybe the DS will see the revival of Super Mario RPG from the SNES. *_* Shyeah, I wish...
  6. As interesting as the DS may be, I'm gonna hold off on getting it for a while. Last time I got a system the first day it's out (the SP), I kicked myself for it when I learned they're released it in additional colors. I wanted the black SP so bad, too. T_T Dunno whether or not the DS will go the way of the VB, but we'll see. Also, I've been reading about a couple of things. First off, I saw an article for a device that turns the DS or SP into a porta-TV. What's next? Using the TV-DS to view PS2 games on that smaller PS2? LOL j/k there. Secondly, on the DS, you can only play DS and GBA games; no GBC or older games. I know the DS isn't fully GBA-compatible, but c'mon! I'm sure some people are considering trading in their SP's for the DS. The least they could do is offer DS owners a peripheral that goes into the DS cart slot and gives full SP capabilities, y'know? Link port and the "notches" for the E-Reader and GBA-GCN cable. Then again, if the DS's physically unable to accept GBC and GB games (remember, GBA games have those notches) we're just FUBAR'ed. I want my Tetris!! @_@ Time will tell.
  7. Not sure if anyone's expanded on the "gear shift" analogy so I'll take a crack by saying there's in all likelihood some sort of shift lock mechanism involved, just like the shift lock in vehicles with automatic transmission. Sure, there's some exceptions perhaps, such as a seamless lock-free switch from fighter to 1/2 gerwalk or gerwalk to 1/2 gerwalk, like shifting from reverse or drive into neutral. As for upgrading the VF-1's and the Macross herself, as you can see you can only upgrade for so long before it deems itself necessary for brand new VF's or ships such as the New Macross-class vessels and the VF-19's.
  8. JsARC, thanks for the reply. It somewhat brings me to my next question. In the previous games, I use the flinching to prevent the baddies from attack (i.e. using the chaingun on cacodemon to keep it from belching fireballs). Does that tactic still apply in Doom 3? Try hitting center-mass and see if they still attack while being ventilated. I ask because I'd like to know what old-skool Doom tactics can still apply. Circle-strafe, strafing around corners, etc... Y'know, the tried-n-true tactics that Doom helped soldify in the FPS genre.
  9. Hey all!! Just lurkin' this thread to see if I should leech the savings for this or wait til the price goes down and/or I get a better PC. My current PC *might* handle it, but only the recommended specs. I've been reading from reviews here and there that the baddies don't flinch when hit, like it Dooms 1/2/Final/Ultimate. Is this true? And in the 'timeline' is considered a reworked Doom 1 or a Doom 1.5? Doom 3 still having the Pinkies just makes me smile, with all 32 sharp teeth showing. *growls like a Pinky* PS: Sad but true, I can imitate the Doom 1/2 Pinky deathsnarl to perfection. LMAO
  10. Probably one of them is to deploy the bayonet while the other as Nanashi so elequently put, shoots the gun. Great job again big N, so....got any info on the VF-19s pod? Thanks. I certainly do. There is so much stuff to be released on Nanashi's. : ) Everyone give thanks to Graham on this one. He and I are teaming up. The Information Group has its second staff member. Thanks to both Nanashi and Graham. You're both working on this now so you should both get the kudos, ne? I think the second trigger's for deploying the bayonet as well. I'll have to watch the OAV's again. Luckily, it's only in the first few minutes of the first eppy.
  11. Looks great, both of 'em. But isn't the UN SPACY stenciling on the gunpod the wrong way on the -1S Roy?
  12. P: Battroid manipulators sluggish to respond. S: VF-Strength Bengay applied. P: Comm systems transmitting japanese-sounding Minmei. S: No action taken.
  13. Press Select on P2's controller. Also, FYI for PS2 owners of MMAC: [] = Fire (hold for charge) X = Jump (down + X = slide/dash) R1 = Weapon Select And yes, some of the old weapon weaknesses still apply (i.e. use Noise Crush on TurboMan)
  14. MM1: No pause trick (makes Yellow Devil a real pain) MM2: Harder (US MM2 had an easy mode hacked in as 'normal' while 'difficult' was the original mode; it's gone in MMAC) MM3: No 2nd controller tricks (Super Jump, Zombie MM, Time Freeze, etc) MM4: Unknown MM5: Unknown MM6: Unknown MM7: None MM8: None I'm still working on beating MM8, so 4 thru 6 I won't confirm unless anyone else care to do it instead.
  15. I'm just saying from my experiences so far in dealing with dubs, subs, and manga. For example I dunno how edited the Shaman King manga is, but it's certainly far better compared to the anime. Manga like Rurouni Kenshin makes me extremely cautious about the anime series. Besides, not into One Piece anyway. *sweatdrops*
  16. I'm sure it's the PS1 version, because I've beaten the 8 bosses and I didn't meet/face Cutman and Woodman.
  17. Artoo, see if you can increase the power. Heh heh, couldn't resist. Anyway, it's an interesting design, although the lack of hands and gunpod seems to make battroid useless. Also, wouldn't this variant require air support in case of unfriendlies in the area?
  18. I unlocked the anime episode... or should I say "anime-ish" episode. It's the first eppy of the US MegaMan cartoon from the early 90's. Bass, smite me down now! Anyway, as you can guess, I have the PS2 version. I forgot that I actually liked the series... well, more like 60% liked the series. That's why when I heard the audio of Docs Light and Wily in MM8, I was shocked they didn't use the VA's from the cartoon. "MegaGirl" didn't bug me. ''' Oh, and yes I confirmed MM8's audio is glitched. The boss voices have different pitches and the sound fx when you 'absorb' the boss weapon after winning is different. Speaking of X, didn't his voice change in X7? He finally sounds like an angst-ridden teen (VA'ed by Shoutaro?). Maybe it's to show he ain't so 'green' anymore. That description now belongs to Axl.
  19. It's companies like 4Kids that make me glad for companies like Viz that publish mangas here in the US with little US influence. Thus, I don't watch the 4Kids version of Shaman King. Edit: Although I heard the MegaMan EXE mangas published by Viz use names and phrases from the EXE dub. X_x
  20. Beat the first 8 stages in MM3 and MM7, I believe. I just inserted passwords. ''' Hey, I'm entitled since I've already beaten them previously, after all. The 'upgrades' MM1 thru 6 get are alright. MM7 has a few audio glitches, but that's it. MM8 (like MM7) seems to have a few audio glitches here and there, and the cutscenes seem darker and blurry, but otherwise it's a relatively flawless port from PS1. I hate those snowboard areas. X_x Hmmm... methinks all the games might have audio glitches. Please, can anyone else confirm? I can only confirm for MM8 as I have the PS1 game.
  21. It wouldn't really matter since in all likelihood Guld's suit probably wasn't rated to withstand the G's and neg-G's the YF-21 could put out without the use of the limiters. Guld knew his fate when he deactivated said limiters.
  22. If you're looking for passwords for all the password-driven MegaMan games, try at www.mmhp.net, the first true MegaMan fanpage. As far as I know, it's the only Official fan page for the Blue Bomber. Also on this site I'm accredited for a password in MMX1.
  23. From Star Wars: Y-Wing (might be slow with poor visibility, but it's tough as HFIL) A-Wing (when speed's needed more than a strong hull, and speed needs good visibility) TIE Defender (If I were an Ace of the Empire, this would be my baby. Four laser cannons, two Ion Cannons, twin launchers for secondaries, hyperdrive, chaff/flare dispenser, optional tractor beam) Keep in mind, that's from my days of playing TIE Fighter. B-Wing is not for me. Seems slower than the Y-Wing, no astromech for repairs, and the gyro-cockpit seems... expensive to keep in good shape.

    yamato sdf-1?

Don't forget to stock the Daedalus with functional 1/48 destroids. Now, if we had a 1/1 functional Macross, I say let's look for that 10th planet that I heard about lately. Btw, dibs on Max and Milia's room.
  25. How about Elita-1? That way, MP Prime won't be lonely.
