  1. I just picked up the PS2 saint seiya game the other day! The graphics are fab and gameplay also quite good but too bad you need to know Japanese to really enjoy the game.
  2. There is a shop here, Hong Kong with that Club-M VF-1 kit and they are asking like US$110 for it and the box has wear! Most Club-M kits are on the rise, price wise...being some kind of collectors item. I guess building a Hase kit is easier and cheaper! Ahh...man...anyboby living near that area? Andy
  3. Well, I watched a few episodes but the series is so looooonnnngggg, it is almost impossible to bare I mean the last I heard they were on episode 150 or something and still no end in sight, so if you want to collect the whole series be prepared. Otherwise, the OVAs are pretty good. Art wise, not the best but let's say different in a good way though! Andy
  4. I agree with Blackaces, there really seems to be not much differences between the two 19's! Okay, one is pre-built and has colour resin parts but that is it. I always thought though that the latest incarnation limited to 10 pieces was a complete new design Too bad none of us have both kits or even the new 19, at least then we can make a comparission! Andy
  5. The ISBN for the book is ISBN: 4334901247. I am not sure about the cost though as there are sites listing it for YEN4,000, while also some list it as YEN4,200! Hope this helps Andy
  6. Just curious, has anyone tried a US game on a Jap PSP or vice versa? I heard that the games from all region (eg Japan, US, UK) are region free but one can only watch movies from the region where the PSP was purchased; is it true? I am planning to buy a PSP and am a little stuck with this dilemma. I want to get the Jap version since it is the only PSP made in Japan while all the rest are made in China Andy
  7. I will put my bet on X'mas 2005 for the GBP-1S to be released! I mean, Yamato still has to release the Megazone23 bike and others before then, so be patient my fellow members Andy
  8. Be patient, the VF-11 is scheduled for the last quarter of 2005! Hasegawa just released the "new box" VF-1 with all heads, so give them time to milk money first!
  9. I believe the original kit also came with a to scale SDF-1 cruiser, guys correct me if I am wrong as I never owned one of these! But honestly it look s pretty neat, maybe a little short in length though. Andy
  10. There are quite a few popping up on Yahoo Japan lately, reportedly some of the box sets also include English subs!
  11. The shirt is for sure a great buy! I got outbid several times on Evilbay , so anyone here with a spare? The shoes are cool to but to be honest I will go for the shirt anyday
  12. Passed by the shops yesterday and actually saw them for around US$40 a kit. The only thing is that they all look pretty same, so do you have a side shot of yours as the shop carried all kits from 1 to 5!
  13. Ha ha...I remember having one of these when I was very young and knew nothing about Southern Cross. Some of the specialized anime shops in Hong Kong stock them but box condition varies and prices are quite high if I remember correctly. Also, I believe you are lookikng for the lead character, which makes things harder. I will pass by the shops tomorrow anyways and will keep an eye on it, so you get a rougfh idea on price! Andy
  14. Yamato have left Macross fans to die Most projects have either been pushed back indefinitely or cancelled for good What we can now more or less only hope for is that they will release the 1/48 GBP-1 armour, other than that do not put all your eggs into one basket!
  15. In Hong Kong, Toys R Us are only for suckers or people with deep wallet who could not care less The last time I popped into one was ages ago and I must say their collection has drastically reduced as how I remembered it when I was young. Basically, they have outdone themselves by expanding too big too fast.
  16. Another possible reason is maybe because Yamato is fed-up with the procedures in getting a toy approved We all know how difficult it is to get a meeting with Kawamori and how picky he is...getting a prototype to th eproduction line might take a year or two and by then the hype of the anime might have changed already, just look at the 1/100 Yammie VF-0S! Andy
  17. Too bad the Seller does not have the scale of it Initially I assuem it is the 1/144 YS kit as that is more or less the only kit available unless it is the 1/72 WF version. This kit does have far less pieces than the YS and could be pre assembled and recasted but if one compares the body pieces with the YS version, the parts do look totally different Andy
  18. Just stumbled across this kit and am very interested in it. No scale was given but I assume it is the 1/144 Yellow Submarine kit. But upon comparing it with the info on our model section, the kit seems to differ, so any help is appreciated The Seller is from Singapore and has it listed on the local Yahoo Auction site, LINK!
  19. Not sure which version it is though but the 21 can be had as little as US$40 over here, new mib from shops! The most sought after from the M+ line is still the 19 (any edition and flavour, even the VF-19A) and then comes the 11 with Fast Packs I guess the 21 never really made it.
  20. Well, you can always slap on any pricetag you want...getting the item sold is another question If there is a Buyer...he or she is either blind, has a sugar mummy or daddy or just won the lottery
  21. Well, first of all you got to know that the Yammie is a toy and the BanDai's you have are models. Some folks here on the forum take this very seriously when it comes to toy/model issues Second, the BanDai model kits are actually molds bought from Imai when they went bankrupt (or at least lost their Big West license). These molds were made and designed in the early '80s and we are now decades after and technologies have since made great advances! Just take a look at the Hasegawa kits and compare them with a fixed posed kit from the '80s! Also, you have to take into account that the model kits were all hand designed and sculpted while the Yammie 1/48 was done with with computer! In the end though it really depends on your flavour, some of us like to go back down the nostalgia lane and prefer the bulkier and chunkier valks. While others, the more perfectionists will for sure go for the newcomer stuff, such as the Yammie 1/48...which you can play with for ages and do not break, not to mention you do not have to deal with building it! Just my two cents, Andy
  22. Yeah, I have those UN Balance Fold Booster's too and must admit that the ones from the Club-M kit are better even though those clear parts are useless and make the whole thing look tacky! As with the Fast Packs, well I will give them a compare with the ones from Club-M. At first the UN Balance version looks a little bland with not much detail but then again I do not believe the Fast Packs ever had much detail to start with. Andy
  23. Hi guys, My Winter Wonder Festival 2005 UN Balance YF-19 Fast Packs finally arrived in the mail today, thanks to my source who went there and picked it up for me So, it seems like afterall that they were for sale and not like previously claimed by some members that UN Balance could not get a license in time for it Anyways, the upgrade parts are very well made and I will try and get some comparisson going with the Fast Packs by Club-M for their YF-19 very shortly Enjoy
