  1. The VF-2SS was another with a telescoping display. The Metal Siren did something weird: the seat would rotate back, and then slide backward/upward through a short passage to a second canopy.
  2. Just so long as means that, or a new angle to it..but not changing how it was resolved. (Or wasn't resolved. )
  3. Nevermind the masks alone are creepy enough..
  4. This whole "Earth needs Meltrandi!" sort of leaves the Zentradi male populace out in the cold. It's arguable that they just haven't gone in depth about the broad scope of human/Zentradi relationships and inter breeding, but we have seen a case of a human male-zentradi female relationship and family, but have never been distinctly shown the opposite..inspite of the number of hybrids we have seen. It just makes me think... (Then again I don't recall a single female face in the 33rd Naval/Marine Battalion either. Coincidence?)
  5. We're just gonna call you a liar after you pass out.
  6. The thing to remember there is they do not dole out ammunition as graciously as other shooters do. Being abole to move and fire probably wouldn't pay off if they dialed down the accuracy to balance it, because you'd probably end up in more situations with less or no ammo unless thery decdided to change that. I don't know, I just find the mechanic as one of it's charms, damning as it can be sometimes. I just don't think I could call it a "Resident Evil" game if I could run and gun constantly.
  7. Not to mention big enough to standout in a collection. For instance: how a 1/6 figure will standout in size and detail, among a sea of 1/8-sized figures.
  8. I would like to walk (slowly) and shoot; yet I still think people would bitch about that. Maybe it's just me, but even if it controls much like RE4 did, I have no complaints.
  9. So did Frontier's City and Island ships. I just don't know if the Battle section would have corresponding issues, being a ship of a much smaller scale. (Not to mention having their own fold drives, and I also assume their power generation is autonomous from the City ship, maybe even when docked.)
  10. Nah..Jesse Ventura. (... I watched "The Running Man" last night.. )
  11. You mean the squadron's "big guns".. Sorry, I missed that part.
  12. No, I didn't get the memo.. As little as week or two ago the same place was still selling them at reduced prices. So maybe this place is slow to catch on. Or I am..
  13. Well they had to do something with that backpack.. Target definitely raised their prices,: I didn't look at the activators but their Deluxe figures were now $10.99, and their Voyagers $21.99. Their sole Leader-class, a Bulkhead, was $44.99. I would have picked up a Oil Slick or Blitzwing figure, but I can probably find better prices on online*. NO new stuff or much Universe stuff there either. (*Minus shipping, of course- But paying for shipping never really hurts me..being a mail carrier, it pretty much means it's just coming back to my pocket anyhow. )
  14. Raramia was the tomboy redhead...Nene was the tall, pink-haired goddess[/s} one.
  15. From Sega? No kidding- between Madworld and Bayonetta they seem to be really on the ball this year.
  16. I still would say, given the alleged history of the YF-19 test plane before he arrived. Isamu has to be a very skilled pilot, but maybe a tad too reckless to be someone epic as some of the in-universe aces. He's really suited for the top of the middle tier, or the very bottom of what's considered the top tier of Macross pilots. I think he's akin to Nora, both exceptionally skilled pilots, but have a niggling (serious?) flaw that keeps them from being the very best (Isamu's recklessness and Nora's rampant emotions.)
  17. There seems to be a point where it sort of clicks in, but only with one on my tailfins. You see the other is a little loose; it will hold in fighter mode so long as you don't move the plane or disturb the fins, but it just won't stay without help when folded in gerwalk or battroid. It's probably my only complaint- aside from a slightly droopy wing when loaded up, I do love the thing..I don't regret getting it, I just wish it was a little tighter. Maybe sooner or later I'll get emboldened to take it apart and see if I can fix some of it's foibles.
  18. That is only because gamers have become increasingly bitchy creatures. That or people mistake criticisms as fatal flaws. /shrug

  20. At this point, yes atleast on the matter of detection*. But their talk and study of fold waves and their behavior suggests they might be moving toward some sort of an early warning system. *Even inspite of it's awesome-ness, I think they look a little bit of artistic license in the last MF episode: I can't imagine how the Quarter coming out of fold could immediately be able to target an enemy ship so quickly, let alone fire a weapon that consumes so much power. Not when it's alluded that making the fold takes up a lot of power in itself. ...Well may be they were charged and ready to fire before they jumped, it's hard to say, so I'll drop it..
  21. Then again they seem to be rapidly figuring out ways to (atleast) detect incoming folds.
  22. I know I'm a broken record, but it's a crime they haven't put out anything for it yet. Those bastards.
  23. Well it was some similar arm shape, that split into these long, claw-like fingers that grappled hand-holds on the carrier deck. Aside from that, it was all Monster, enough that it could have been some un-named variant.
