Sorry for the potato quality phone pics, but I hope this helps. Measurements taken with a digital caliper. Ring - 1.35mm thick, 2.65mm diameter Ring hole - .72mm diameter Laser - 35.67mm long back - 1.2mm thick, 2.95mm high front tip - .62mm thick laser height before dip to barrel - 1.86mm long grey line - 12.32mm long short grey line - 2.48mm long grey barrel not including shroud - 2.5mm Barrel and shroud - 1mm high For those that want to know how to take the laser off, pull the head off, then use something like a precision screwdriver and push on the green circled part until it pops out.

Bandai has it defined as: 60% grey 20% white 15% purple 5% blue grey You'll need to mix the colors yourself as it's doubtful that there's any off the shelf paint that will match that. I think the colors defined are meant for the Mr. Hobby/Aqueous Hobby Color paints. So you'll need to adjust and eyeball it if using other brands.

That's a great job, Lolicon! I like all the decals you put on them. You even did the displays in the cockpit. I only put extra decals on my CF VF-25A according to the Hasegawa markings since I had gone through the trouble of painting it at the time. Didn't have enough to do them all so I picked the one that wasn't part of the squadron to do. -
What is the actual measured length of that 1/64? At true 1/64, it should be about 12 inches. If it were 1/60, it would be about 3/4" longer. Close enough. I tried to find one online, but I guess they're not being made any more. I would have liked to repaint one in a M0 scheme.

Got mine yesterday. Had a bit of a scare though. I checked the tracking and it said it was delivered to the address and signed by me and left with the person. Except, I was working from home and was home all that time and I didn't get or sign anything! I checked my porch and around the house and saw nothing outside. I had to call up the local post office to see what was up. They told me they would contact the carrier and have him deliver the package by the end of the day. I finally did get it without further issue after I checked my porch around 5. Overall, I like the sculpt, but the the missile doors will remain closed because the missiles are too pink for my tastes. I was also expecting a more neutral gray as the show, the Hasegawa kit, and Arcadia's own prototypes had, instead of this almost dark tan color that we got on the legs and stomach area. I swear Arcadia gets off on picking a color and purposely going totally off the mark on the production releases for the Zero line.

Curious. Someone must have erased me from the map. I don't see myself there anymore. Anyway, I think I'm getting my RA from NY tomorrow if the tracking is any indication. Really looking forward to having it in my hands after seeing all these other pics from people who didn't order from NY...

They used up the budgeted plastic allotment for the 30 with that silly bracket for battroid mode.
-
That was the one disappointment I had about the 30's design. There needed to be some middle ground though between not being able to have a gunpod equipped properly with the pod deployed and making half a pod into a glorified cup gun holder.
-
The same thing happened on my original 25F and Alto YF-29. Noticed it a couple years back. I had to do my best to try to fix it. If I see any other ones like that, I'll use the bottle of Plastruct Weld I got recently to bond the ABS back together.

The shades are very subtle, but you can see it matches the camo patterns on the red and purple color schemes.
-
Seconded! I really like the black and purple one especially. Of course, if Bandai did make that, it would be lacking the gray on the leading edges and the camo pattern as well since they forgot them on Leon's YF-30. I had to paint the leading edge grays and the subtle pattern on myself since they neglected to do so.

NY might be your only choice now. I know Anime-Export and Big In Japan had them but the pre-orders are closed.

This is pretty much just an item for completionists. There's not really that much going for it. It's such a simple design and not really very interesting or attractive in my opinion. Seems like such a random thing to decide to make out of all the things they could have spent the effort on. They'd have been better off picking something more appealing if they're going to price things that high.
-
It's a shame. I liked the some of the alternate paint schemes that were available for the YF-30. I also prefer the YF-30 fighter mode over the VF-31's variants. For me, YF-30 > VF-31A > VF-31everythingelse, in terms of looks, but the 31A is a close second at least.

Not to go off topic, but there's a pretty good sampling of people that participated in this map. Macross World Member Map

Done up right and with the color less saturated, I think it could look pretty good. I would love a Battle Frontier and Galaxy too, but it doesn't seem likely at this point since Bandai has moved on to Delta. I just want a good sized and detailed transforming NMC to go with my SDF-1 and MQ. I'm hoping Bandai will surprise us sometime with an Elysion also... but that's probably just going to remain a dream
-
I agree. Just plain variance in the plastic may have a hand the yellowing regardless of where or how it was stored. I have two Yamato VF-0S that I had displayed next to each other. One looks completely fine, the other has entire pieces that have changed color that have no correlation to facing and both were in the same environment.
-
I wish they would make a transforming Battle 7 to the size, if not scale, of the SDF-1 toy/assembly kit.
-
Feels like it, but they were apparently very busy and those of us who pre-ordered the VF-0 Reactive Armor waited an entire week for it to ship. Some people might still be waiting. They should probably have more than one person doing the packing and shipping...

The main things I didn't like about the old Yamato version that I hope are or should be improved in the new release are: The large gap between the head and legs in fighter mode. The many noticeable gaps between various pieces. Panel lines are very large like the rest of Yamato's releases prior to the destroids and VF-1 v2. Although Arcadia went completely the other direction and made the panel lines very fine but also very shallow to the point that they are hard to see, much less panel line them. Bandai's is just about perfect, imo. They were fine, yet visible and deep enough to do panel lining easily. The wings needed better support. The VF can't even be turned upside down without the wings flopping. Ankle articulation was pretty much non-existent. The included stickers were the thick multi-layered kind like those that were included with the 1/48 VF-1, YF-19 and 21 and all MZero releases that constantly had the edges peeling/curling. The rear stabilizers only rotated around and stuck out at an angle from the arms in battroid mode when they should be flat against the arms.

Going by how color accurate they have been with the Zero releases so far, Arcadia will probably go with dark pink/purple like in the screenshot in Zx31's post above.

NY finally shipped mine. Just noticed they sent an email about it being shipped. I assume everyone else still waiting got a shipping notification too?

That's from the Macross Design Works book in the beginning section where a lot of preliminary designs, some not macross related are shown. These were originally for I forget the name, Aerial Cavalry Knights? Which eventually became escaflowne and all the designs were dropped but later repurposed in Macross.
