    From what I heard, Studio Nue was shopping its show around until Tatsunoko picked it up. Someone should clear it up for us. If Tatsunoko did hire Studio Nue to do a show, then all the intellectual privileges would be owned by Tatsunoko.

    Tatsunoko was only involved in producing it. The story was created by Studio Nue. The animation is "owned" by Tatsunoko in the same sense that one can own a DVD. They don't own the story,characters or artwork.

    I liked the movie. As compraed to AVP, it was leagues better. The Yakuza guy obviously knew his swords when he was able to put a date on the one he found.

    I would just wait till its discounted. Or at the very least when its stocked in AmiAmi.

    Which probably amounted to desperate pleading for a new Mospeada animation.

    I would go further and say that a remake in the vein of ReBSG would do much more good for Macross than just recreating the original story with new designs. Thats why ReBSG did so well, it opposed the campy 70's era of bell bottoms and tight pants by being substantive about the fact that the human species was on the edge of extinction. No line dancing, no casino planets or whatever. Take out all the cheesy and nonsensical stuff, and make the story focus on the terror of having ones existence in the universe removed by force.

    Hey, I dont know if this has been mentioned, but it looks like BBTS isn't selling non-toynami Macross toys anymore.

    Yeah, I dont know of a single toy shop that ever received from Toynami any Robot Damashi or Chogokin stuff.

    Toynami is an official distributor of Bandai action figures and toys, so I would think that robotech is a very small part of their business.

    I have that chrome chibi. It was truly a piece of garbage. But thats okay because I bought it for 5 dollars.
