Those Fast Packs do look very good. Might be worth it to get a set to use with the regular valks. I always thought the greenish colour of the packs was a bit too toy like. But the stealth ver here seems more serious.

Just finished the series a while ago. And I must say. Whoops. Sorry. Edited The ending was one of those... they disappear kind. I know I know. They sort of reappear in the end. But closure would be good.

I remember seeing a pic of a Landmate fully painted and all that by Yamato in an issue of ToyFare once. But I guess it was never released. And there have been pics of a Bri.... The big cyborg guy's version as well.

If it's that hard to find, then I think you might have a valuable bargaining chip. But at the end of the day, it's only worth what people are willing to pay for it. And sad to say I have no idea either what it's worth. But the detail on it is pretty good.

I'm really curious about one thing. The toys we look for. If they are old, second hand etc, most of the time we would resort to the secondary market where prices can vary from person to person. This site has provided a guide as to how much an item would be worth but that is just an approximation. And that's cool. But why do people have to go around thinking they are being "ripped off" if they pay a price for something that maybe they think is too high? At the end of the day. Don't like the price? Buy from someone else. If he's the only one that has that item. Too bad. At the end of the day though it seems to point to two things. A) What price that person is asking for whatever it is he/she is selling. B) Just how much you are willing to pay for that item. The question I suppose is how often does "market value" really mean anything to anyone?

Melancholy will run for 14 eps so there's just 1 more ep left. I hope they'll continue the anime for the next volumes. I'm guessing this episode takes place right before the baseball game and after the class president disappears. Haruhi suddenly spilling her heart out was kinda random though. She fell out of character for apparently no reason, and started babbling existential stuff. Appreciated Koizumi's role in spurring the plot further despite all his babble about "I think therefore I am" kinda talk. Antropic something. <theory> I think the books mention that Kyon used to be like Haruhi that he wished aliens, espers and time travellers to exist. But one day his rational mind took over and he kinda died off with that 'chidish' though. But this was not shown in the anime yet IIRC. I wonder if Kyon was the initiator of the god-like powers. Is Haruhi an avatar of himself carrying out his inner-wishes very much like how the <Celestials> are avatars of Haruhi's frustration. So is this world created 3 years ago a gigantic closed space created by Kyon which exists parralel to the world outside, and Haruhi is Kyon's <Celestial> ? Yeah, u realise i'm thinking here along the lines of Evangelion, like if Kyon was Shinji and he succeeded in the 3rd impact, this is what would've happened. Because Kyon more or less remains a mystery, despite being the main protagonist. We know pretty much about Haruhi and the rest but next to nothing about Kyon. Granted this is off topic. But Palisades was willing to send me a new Grimlock statue after the one I bought off ebay came missing an arm. I sent back the "wounded" one and they sent me a new one and they paid for shipping to me. NOW THAT'S Customer Service. To me anyway.

Something odd I just realised. When Kyon is THINKING something. As in he's not saying it, it seems that Haruhi can hear his thoughts and replies to them. I noticed this in the novel and the anime when he's thinking something and Haruhi responds to it. Well he's lips are not moving and in the novel there are no " " around his dialogue to indicate outloud speech, so I assume those are his thoughts. That's something interesting.

I wouldn't know what UPS has. Never used them before.

Selling the hot dogs is one thing. But what I'm really curious about is how do you get them to the buyer without them spoiling? UPS? DHL?

It's because Haruhi is director. Seriously, it's because they want to close the series out with the ending of the Melancholy story arc. It gives them a story arc to sustain through the entire season and a big dramatic finish without signifigantly altering the original source material. On the down side, some episodes just don't make sense as-is. I think the baseball episode should've aired after episode 4, so all the major characters at least had their backgrounds established. Beyond that, it works. You generally have enough knowledge to know what's going on, though you'll be left scratching your head at a few references. Bah. Go read the translation of the first book, and then watch everything with full comprehension. It makes things more enjoyable, at least to me. I have to give the animators credit though... they pulled the Yuki fight off pretty well, and it's hard to vizualise, much less draw. 409072[/snapback] Thanks for the link.

Now it makes sense. I tried watching it in the "correct order" and it was like watching Star Wars from Ep 1 to 6. So there's a reason why it's jumbled up. Something are not meamt to be found out till later.

It's a nice show. But the one thing that really annoyed me was how the episodes are being shown out of order. Why? I don't know. But I do know it makes it a pain to watch with the gaps.
