  1. That VF-1J is the iconic Box Art that inspired Tenjin on his incredible Art Career! And that VF-1S From Imai is a very cool kit too. So you are telling us you made some progress in the storage room? The room that I could not even walk 2 feet into? PLEASE share some pictures if you can! I'm dying to see what else you uncover in there. I wanted SO BAD to dive in, but time was ticking. It wraps about 25 feet to the right...looks just like this...or should I say looked? Floor to Ceiling.
  2. Love those paint schemes that are simpler and follow the original series colors! (the weathering and panel lines are awesome, but sometimes I just like to go back when the kits looked like the anime a bit more!) Are you going to build one of every Macross kit in the warehouse? You could have quite the collection!
  3. Welcome Vic! It was a wonderful meeting you in person! You have my dream job right now going through all those thousands of kits For those that don't do Facebook (like mw), could you send any direct links to the videos and builds? I'd love to see them. Shawn

    Macross Books

Another Macross modeling article, sold! Thanks for the link
  5. No clue, we are all in uncharted territory The movies only warned us of world domination, not of intrusions into robot forums 😛
  6. That video was great-I felt a lot more confidence in trying a transformation on the one I got now. Very clear and concise(thanks to Youtube Closed Caption translation!)
  7. Yeah-they are mini cards/posters from the Blu-Ray Hybrid pack, and yes they've been polluting the YJ poster results for years now
  8. You can contact Anthony direct via his business card (I don't put the actual text due to spam email scrapers) You have NO worries about depleting the available amount of model kits out there by actually building them These were all produced in the thousands or tens of thousands quantities. I've seen every kit come up hundreds of times on auction sites. So buy and build and have fun! Then post up some pictures of your completed kits!
  9. Just wow...I cannot wait to see this in person at the Con! Woah.
  10. You are doing a great job getting the rare stuff, you have a great eye and your collection is awesome. JV and I have just been at it a bit longer, that's the only difference
  11. How hard would it be to make the little support vessels in a 3D printer? Ever since the Model Package Art book came out, I've been hoping someone would take it up as a fun side project, and would look especially good on such a fantastic custom.
  12. Another Nichimo Iron-On collector...nice! That is just the 2nd set I've seen in the wild after all these years. You are just missing the Prometheus badge below, while I am missing the Daedalus Spartan one you have. Between both the collections we can make the complete set! The instructions!
  13. yeah...this is my level below. I almost cried when I tried the Bandai Sv262...I scream uncle early on these current toys
  14. and OMG...a literal Daedalus Attack! Watch the video at the bottom...just awesome!!!! http://sakemochi80s.blog27.fc2.com/blog-entry-982.html https://video.fc2.com/content/20211029X3pBtqKE/ But I won't spoil the ending!
  15. Can't recall if this one has been posted-they mentioned they had to scratch-build the Quead missiles and arms Reminds me a little of an SF3D http://sakemochi80s.blog27.fc2.com/blog-entry-977.html
  16. Just watched the entire transformation and it is exhausting how complex it is LOL I never knew the YF-19 has those little rotating hip joints to lower/raise the leg height (like the Riobot Legioss, which I hate to transform because of it) It does look extra fantastic in Battroid mode...like wow.
  17. Thanks for posting those pics of the instructions! Now I can see the pin and spring usage in detail. Now the next question....why are the instructions in English? Isn' that odd? It is not just a small section, it is the entire instruction sheet.
  18. @gtc_fan, great story! It sounds so similar to the ones all us old timers experienced. If I had know about Ron in the 80's I'd STILL be broke. I did not discover his shop and catalog until the late 90's. I'd love to see some of his older catalogs...never heard of the 'long list' before! I asked Anthony if he could contact Ron through his connections with the family, no luck yet, but not giving up. Would love to hear Ron's anecdotes on the entire industry as it started and ended. I have lots of other pictures to post (perhaps this weekend) from pictures I took during my visit there, everything got delayed because of another trip. And yes-the Revell kits were a life-saver in the days. They were widely available at K-Mart and cheap vs the incredibly rare and MUCH MUCH more expensive originals, at least at my hobby stores in SoCal. I had multiples of those Monogram Legioss too(gobot branded). All the COOL kids knew what they really were...freaking Axoid and Vexar...LOL
  19. Wow-very nice collection! Thank you for sharing! I rarely if ever see any models or anything done on the concert outfit, they always do the final battle outfit. With all the crazy LED tech we have now it would easy to make the dress light up right? Your Milia one just rocks-that is an iconic scene! Hold onto that one! When I was a kid I'd try(poorly) to draw her...always always always looked terrible
  20. So this pin for the legs? Sorry its a stupid question, I'm sure someone has taken a 1/100 apart, just can't find the post yet The spring is inside the fuselage putting pressure towards the outside or something?
  21. I look forward to seeing how this progresses! The fabktek art is a it weird, I agree. I do like the original Banpresto art I'd love to see a custom variation where you could have video scenes from the movie playing during the levels, like in an extra monitor like this Tron game.
  22. bolts to assemble... so is the iron pin and spring for the head? Just one of each This one doesn't have a gunpod that shoots
