Closer to a DX Henkei, but that's disrespectful to Takatoku Henkeis.

Right? She's definitely my treasure. On your TOS-E: I see you have the Gary Kerr paint callouts! Those helped me tremendously when I did my 1/650 and 1/537 ships! As for the nacelle caps: I found that "frosting" the outside of the outer dome with #0000 steel wool and then1-2 thin coats of Tamiya Acrylic Transparent Orange will give you that "glowing hellfire" look. I was thinking just that, since some planes are definitely named. The plane may not be 100 percent on-spot accurate, but after the absolute hell I went through with it, I think I can be forgiven.

Fair enough, yeah. Those VF-25 fighter kits did have the main parts color-molded, but considering how much of Alto's VF-25 is white anyway, it really wasn't a challenge. It think the only colored parts it had were the tails, fins, feet, head panel, cockpit insert, and gunpod. I bought a bunch though, since at the time they were about $6. I never intended to use the (absolute garbage) Bandai decals, since I was more interested in painting them up based on other schemes in the Master File, and a blank white plane was the ideal starting point.

Ice cream

If you send in 2 lids of Thornton Soft Jam Ice Cream, you could enter a contest that ran for 4 months, where they gave away 1000 Valkryies a month It doesn't explicitly say which valkyrie product is the prize, aside from saying it has 3 modes, but I would assume its a Takatoku 1/55 VF-1S, since it uses that artwork. I wonder if any custom outer mailing packaging was ever done for these 4000 units, but I've never seen anything.

I have been hunting down the flyers too
-
Are you building the DYRL variant flyers too. Me as well
-
-
Just like the Macross DYRL Discount smaller handouts that you could bring to a theater to get a discount (pic below), there were larger Flyers available as well I've collected a few variants with unique theater names on the back of each, because it was fun tracking them down and they sell for cheap on the auction sites. (couple bucks each so its quite affordable)

The computer and electronics super geek thread

My Ally X + eGPU solution destroys every game at my projector's 1440p 120-144hz point. In most games even 4k above 60hz is good, too. All I'm waiting for is a TB5 dock. -
Finally available-Reserve your Vol 1 & Vol 2 of Macross TV episodes on VHS or Beta! LOOK at the price...12800 yen for 50 minute video cassette. That would be equivalent to 18000 yen in today's time. Wow! Pre-Release bonus is a Macross Fashion Bag. Another bonus item to track down.
-
Preorder your Macross Vol II Album or Cassette, with 20 new songs! PLUS get a free NEW and Original design Kawamori poster for the pre-order! What poster would this be? It would be a Kawamori penned poster from Victor. I know there are lots of Mikimoto ones. Any ideas?

We're mid-cycle for computer parts right now. There really isn't anything big on the horizon. The RTX 50 Super lineup isn't terribly big news since it's just a new SKU to justify a price increase with. And more price increases are looming so people are trying to lock in the pricing by buying now. -
Macross Package Art Collection book flyer....
-
Cluck cluck cluck Just need to add a bit of super glue at feet leg connection to fill that tiny tiny gap. Probably do a wash and a gloss on the tail feathers

Guess I should not have said 'new flyers' thread but 'flyers thread' in general ok...so no long posters, but B5 ish size items, I can work with that. Some don't have anything on the other side, but they are still a flyer like this
-
In the flyer thread! I guess if it is a standard (or close to it) flyer size of B5 and it is specifically used for promotional purposes, be it a game, toy, movie event, or anything being promoted for a future /upcoming date...for example, not just a mini version of a full size poster...then I guess that makes it a "flyer"? Also, flyers usually have content in the font and back of them...
