Macross World
Volks Inc. has announced a new collaboration between Macross Frontier and Dollfie Dream doll designers – 60cm dolls of Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee.
Details are scarce at this stage. If the promotional image is anything to go by, the dolls will be based on the Wings of Farewell costume variants.
Preorders are scheduled to open in late November.

Arcadia showed up at the Miyazawa Mokei Spring Showcase 2014 today, and boy did they bring the goods!
On display for the first time ever was an early, transformable prototype of the previously announced VF-OD! The Valkyrie is still due to release sometime in 2015, with no specific date set as of yet.
Also announced was a re-issue of the VF-19 Fire Valkyrie, which had previously been issued under the Yamato brand. The re-issue will come complete with Sound Booster (previously sold separately), and is due to go on sale this fall with no specific date set at this time.
MW forum regular and SpeakerPODcast co-host SAVE was on the scene and was good enough to get a bunch of pics. He even had Mr.K hold the prototype upside down so we could get a better view!
Starting last Thursday, a special display of Bandai Chogokin Macross Valkyries opened at Tamashi Nations Akiba Showroom. Included among the Valkyries on display was the YF-30, YF-25 Prophecy, and Ozuma colored YF-29. Of course, the SpeakerPODcast crew dropped by to check it out and get some footage!
The display will run until April 24, so anyone in the area be sure to check it out!
Thanks to Dark_Ghost for posting this, seems like Arcadia just surprised everyone with what might be an exclusive Wonderfest item. A GU-11 Gunpod that is scaled to a micron (earth human)! What’s that? About 1/6 scale maybe? Who knows… it’s very cool, but is it 110,000円 cool?

Arcadia has announced that Mister K himself will be giving demonstrations of how to transform Arcadia’s upcoming YF-19 at Wonderfest 2014 (Winter). Demonstrations will be held at Arcadia’s booth from 11:00 and 15:00 and will allow fans to get a look at the valk up close prior to its commercial release in April.
Wonderfest 2014 (Winter) will be held on February 9, 2014, at Makuhari Messe.
With under a month and a half to go until the upcoming release of the Zentran-mori Macross Frontier blu-ray boxset, a bunch of events and merch have been announced to help Macross fans empty their wallets in time for Xmas.

After teasing it for months, Bandai will finally announce the details for their DX-Chogokin YF-30 at Tamashii Nations on November 1st.
The YF-30 was designed by Shoji Kawamori specifically for the PS3 game Macross 30 – Voices Across the Galaxy. It was piloted by SMS pilot Leon Sakaki.

Back in June, it was announced on a flyer within the newly released Macross Plus Blu-Ray that a new 1/60 YF-19 was due early next year from the newly christened Arcadia Toy Company. This will be the first new mold of a Macross Toy since their debut in the beginning for the year. With a price point of 34400 円 in Japan, this will be one important test in the new company’s venture into Macross Toys. But the positive buzz within the fandom has made this one highly anticipated toy. And with all the accouterments it comes with, it’s hard to resist even at the high cost… not to mention it’s (expletive) beautiful!

Just when Macross fans thought their wallets were safe, a new Macross Frontier Bluray Disc boxset has been announced. While Macross Frontier has already been released on BD previously, this new set will feature a new digital remaster that the trailer claims will reduce banding, resulting in a sharper image, a mountain of extras, and will be in print for a limited period of 1 year. No word on English subtitles at this stage.
