Although they never showed takeoffs, or landings from the runway on the ARMD's, I thought it would be fun to make the runway like a carrier deck, since I won't actually have the Prometheus on this SDF-1. -

Hikaru's VF-1A Valkyrie in Gerwalk mode -
Hey all - this one's been itching (in my head) to be made for ages - so this morning I put aside my 'real' work and started to make this kick-ass head sculpt by Tenjin-sama. Still needs some angles to be tweaked and the back portion and internals to be made, but it will be done soon - but we'll have to wait for a while for a print to get to me to make sure it's all good. Unless people trust me enough to just make it available. I will include a few laser options - as the concept art has them splayed at about 15 degree each side where as the current 1/60 are nearly parallel - they're also 2mm wide at the tip, just like the current one - but may be too fragile. Seeing if I can make the visor removable for separate painting too. Anyways, progress as it happens, enjoy. Feedback welcome.

Hello, few pics of my new building, a VF-1A Valkyrie. The box art : Building will be quite simple, only few updates thanks to parts taken from this : No main issues for the building till now : More work to come on the desk : Wings will be set in open mode : Let's have a quick look : It seems that it looks like a Valkyrie uuuh ? the paint will be probably a us navy inspired, with a heavy weathered grey camo. Throw another one on the shelves! Just finished up my 1/48 scale DYRL version of the VF-1S (from Hasegawa), done up as Max's ride. Very straightforward build, nothing surprising. I realized that with all the Valkyries/variable fighters I've built, I've never had one displayed in full-speed mode. Decided to remedy that defect with this kit. As usual, more can be seen here.

Newest build completed! A 1/72 scale VF-1A Valkyrie, in Gerwalk configuration. This is an old Imai kit, so I did a few modifications, alterations, and additions. As always, you can see more here.

So, I'm getting ready to build a 1/72 Hasegawa VF-1J. I'm going to be building it with the canopy open. So, if I want to be "real world" here, should I use the decal for the main display panel so that it looks like the Valk is powered up, or should I leave the screen black, making it look like it's powered down? Thanks for your input! EDIT: I should mention that this will not be part of a diorama or display. I'm only going to have (hopefully-if my modification works out) a pilot figure standing next to it.
