Nightbat
Was browsing the upcoming releases at HLJ when I came across this: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?KBYPP-12 [strongbad]Holy Crap![/strongbad] Yes it's the PVC version I know it's not for the diehard modelers, but for someone like me who has 2 left hands when it comes to painting/assembling something like this, it's too risky especially when the resin kit costs $180+ And I really wanted this kit bad! I already got the Comic party1/7 Takase Mizuki Swimsuit Ver. 1 PVC Completed and actually found it pretty nice for something mass-produced So now it's available for half the price I'm getting it! any Mahoromatic fans also getting this? btw 1/12 scale makes it around +/- 13-14 cm's for the figure am I correct? Dangard Ace
Looks nice. Always wanted that kit...now I don't have to build it.

Anubis
OK, I broke down and pre-ordered one from HLJ. They have the 5% off "early bird" now too. I have to keep watching though just in case it's released domestically, just like the Asuka Summer Casual PVC and a few others from that company, for cheaper. Well. I live in the Netherlands so anything "Domestic" is still more expensive than importing it from Japan that also means that importing from the US -though cheaper as buying it from a domestic source- is more expensive than straight out of Japan Edit: It'll probably won't have the cool features of the resin though (dismanteling the cowl of the bike to show the engine/seatpipes) Edited April 28, 2004 by Nightbat®
wolfx
EeeeeeEEeee that's so damn cool! Mahoro-san! Yes I loved that resin kit....but I'm abit disappointed that the price of this PVC figure is very high. I can't afford it. I'd rather use the money and buy me a valk or binaltech. Anubis
I balked at the cost too at first, but remembered the cost of the resin statue, $180!! So I kind of understand this one's price (not that I don't wish it was cheaper), as well as the fact that it comes with the motorcycle as well as Mahoro. Quite a nice piece actually. Pricey, but a unique pvc. Edited April 29, 2004 by Anubis

Like the Pinky:St figures, 1/10 a 1/48 valk each....woohoo! Cheap! Mahoro = 90% a valk....oooh...expensive. Know what I mean? Need to rise higher in the corporate ladder. Keiichi
I love Mahoro, but I really think she'd look better on the bike in her battle suit, just seems more appropiate. Who rides a motorcycle in a maid outfit? D: Sorry Anubis, you won't be making me use my money this time!

Nightbat
Too bad it never appeared in the manga/anime
Anubis
I don't care, it just fits Mahoro somehow. Besides, she looks better in her signature maid outfit anyway.
Nightbat
Yeah, but on the other hand: how many statues were made with her in her battlesuit?
Anubis
Yeah, but on the other hand:how many statues were made with her in her battlesuit? Touche. Although if they were to release a battle suit PVC, I would gladly buy that as well.

Nightbat
Although if they were to release a battle suit PVC, I would gladly buy that as well. in a heartbeat (which really doesn't mean anything 'cause the same was done with this Mahoro satue )
Yohsho
Hopefully the statue comes with some stickers or something to make it look like the pictures where her bike has Pioneer stickers all over it, or at least a little Vesper sticker for the gas tank. Oh willing to buy Mahoro with Silpheed flying statue.
Nightbat
Yeah, reanimating an old thread but more good news: http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?YMT33782 too bad it doesn't mention the scale and look at the manufacturer Hopefully we'll one day see a Battlesuit(/Sylpheed) Mahoro Unfortunatly, browsing (or getting lost) through Yamato's site came up with nothing
wolfx
Hopefully we'll one day see a Battlesuit(/Sylpheed) Mahoro I've said it before and I'll say it again. There IS a battlesuit mahoro by Sega Prize and I have it. Got it from an anime convention in Australia. No Sylpheeds yet though.

wolfx
Not the most detailed of figures. But it works. Bad thing about it, the stub at the bottom of her shoes which goes into the base she stands on BENDS after awhile. (PVC sickness) So right now, she doesn't stand upright. More like leaning. Anubis
Wow, that's a lot of detail. Explains the hefty price tag. Very very nice. Out of my budget though now.
Nightbat
first: the bad news No stickers (Pioneer/MV Agusta) -that was the bad news the good news is: A good chunk of the bike is Die-Cast, it's heavy as hell Mahoro is very well painted (for mass production... and I can't paint to save my life) and ...It's mine!
