I was just reading that article a little bit ago. I hope that this thing finally gets to full production before Jamie Fox gets too old

Too late imo. Jamie Foxx is a good actor but I think they need to find younger talent.

I think he could still pull it off, but I do get that Al Simmons should probably be a bit younger.

It’s gonna have to at this point. I don’t think it would really damage the story either way. He was a soldier turned assassin and it doesn’t really have to specify how long he was involved in those special operations before his death. And from what I understand they were trying to stay away from an origin story anyway. From everything said even up til now, Spawn isn’t going to be the main focus as character  as being the plot and reason for investigation.

It sounded like it's going to be more of a 'Sam and Twitch' movie. I don't mind watching that instead.

Are they still on that idea?  That was the same plan in the 90's after the first movie released.
