Mine finally came in....think I'm good with one, unless they come out with the "Macross Anime-style" repaint....

First pics are with the KitzConcept 1/72 VF-1....

It's a nice display to hold one of your VF's...but only either the 1/72 toys and the 1/60 VF-1's....the gimmick is pretty well done and. for the most part, it is very well-built....on my sample, one of the small square "netting" came loose straigt out of the box, so I will need to dab a tiny bit of glue...other than that, evrything else worked, including the lights and sound fx....if you can get past the price tag, this would be a nice add to your collection or just to have an alternative way of displaying one of your VFs....

^^ I really like the Low Vis VF-1, the scheme balances both fantasy & realism in a great way, and made more awesome by the elevator diorama.

I hope you don't mind me using your pic @jvmacross, and made some stylistic edits to it. :) Will delete it if you are not comfy with it..

Not at all....did you add a filter to the pic?  Looks like an illustration now....

Anyways....I end up playing more with these toys "digitally" than "physically" 95% of the time these days...lol

Yup the multitude of apps these days makes it fun to experiment with different effects..

The pic is mainly a blended / double exposed image of the original pic & a cartoon-filtered of itself, hence the additional warbly outlines.

Wow, that is like the perfect display piece. Such a shame CW didn't continue onwards with other vf's... There's something really special about diecast models in this scale...

Has Massassi designed functional in-scale repair bays too? Since seeing the Revell versions of the IMAI kits when I was a kid, I wondered what they'd be like motorized too (crawler, turntable, inspection lifts, gate doors, etc.).

Be nice if CW mass-produced those too...

Anyone?
