barurutor
keep the metal pin, you can use it in the shapeways shoulder parts without any fear of breakage.
Benson13
Luckily, there's help.
Mommar
That's classic. I should keep that link around too. One of my used 1J's is about to bite the bullet on one arm as well. keep the metal pin, you can use it in the shapeways shoulder parts without any fear of breakage. Even the knurled pins work with the replacement???
technoblue
Yes. Skip ahead to 10:52 in the installation video to see how you can modify the knurled pin. I think I'll get a couple of these for my rainbow canopy Yamato Roy.

robotechdave
i bot the shapeways product but the pin doesn't fit...has anyone dealt with this yet?
barurutor
you could try to sand down the knurled part of the pin to make it fit in the shapeways shoulder.
ArchieNov
Was this the Arcadia VF-1S?
robotechdave
hi ArchieNov, no it wasn't on the arcadia vf...this was a tv max...and the shapeways replacement holes are so narrow, there's no way to get the pin to fit...(this one isn't knurled one)...so i'm stuck on this for the moment....very disappointed as these toys are so expensive and to have the stupid flimsy shoulder thing break off sucks...especially since i bot it on ebay and the damage wasn't disclosed
Guest davidwhangchoi
i bot the shapeways product but the pin doesn't fit...has anyone dealt with this yet? yeah that's common, just file down the pin. it should be fine.
