Skull-1
I love the TV-style hands for the 1/48 Hikaru "J" Valk. Anyone out there planning to make them when the "J" is released? I could use some for my Max, Low Viz, and DYRL Hikaru.
Rune
I was thinking the same thing.I would guess they would sell good...Who's up for it?
valkyrietestpilot
soon as i saw the t.v. fastpack kit i was thinking how good those hands would look on a low-viz.the one who recasts these would be swamped with orders
Mechamaniac
Just make sure to cast them in a more supple rubberlike consistency similar to the DX Sazabi toy. Easier to bend them around the gun handle. And yes, whoever recasts them first can put me down for at least two sets.
Mr March
Hehehe, yeah I'm hoping someone does this as well. I'm actually buying the VF-1J with FAST Packs, so I'll get a set of those new hands. But I'd like another set for my other 1/48 Valkyrie. kidkorrupt
they will be difficult, im sure veteren recasters can attest. the pieces are small, lots of airbubbles. also, they will be much much more fragile than stock hands. resin pieces that tiny and thin would snap easily. EXO
there should be some resins now that more durable, it'll still break if you force it (just like plastic) but some are flexible enough to withstand some strain... more expensive though. I would be more worried about the paint scratching off the hands if you decide to paint it match the off-white of the valk.

That would be awesome if it wasn't. I would recast all my older nosecones and to retrofit them with recast radars on the 1/48... <_ the wings would be a different story. weight of missles cause them to droop down.>
