How did he do that?

I have an old Macross Model book that shows you how to do it. Basically you cut all of the front fingers off and replace them with styrene as needed. In the book it looks as though they used wire or string. But it was the Spartan that they did. I imagine you could use one of the Gundam MG kits to do it and Wave also make a lot of hand parts. Do you have a link to the site where you saw the pics?

Thanks for pointing this out Shawn, this guy's Amazing.

They don't look any different in either picture. The fingers themselves seem to still be in the same position.

One issue I have about that kit is that the missile hatch doesn't completely clear the path of the top-most missiles...

Poor, poor missile hatch... :(

Yeah, they have the same problem on the toys also, even with the tomahawk

Well how about that. Good eye WDC.

I correct my statement....."they may be articulated."

The missiles fire from the bottom. As missiles at the bottom fire out, the ones above it move down. I think you can actually see that on the Tomahawk in the "Daedalus Attack" episode.

And, no, the fingers don't look hinged to me either.
