JELEINEN
Didn't see a topic about this (if I've been scooped, then my apologies. Anyway, very cool video about the Itano Circus: http://www.burningcourage.com/ftp/Anime/It...he%20Circus.avi Just be warned that it's over 250 megs. justvinnie
wow, that was Itano Circus overload. The montage of Macross at the beginning was way cool. It shows that SDF:Macross has animation that still stands up well today. vinnie

mister_e
Godamnit, media player will only run the audio, what codec do I have to download this time? I think it's DivX. Media player 11 played it fine for me.

Mr March
WOW! Fantastic video JELEINEN! This is one of the best tributes to anime art I've ever seen. Naturally I knew well of the Itano Circus from Macross and I did instantly recognize it in Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing and Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I had no idea it was so prevalent in other anime until I saw this video. Thanks for sharing!
Cruel Angel's Thesis
I'm about only 8 minutes in and I see another trend with the Itano Circus, Can missiles. There were at least 4 can missiles (a pepsi (bad parody of one), a can of Bud, Octupus Hi-Ball and unknown soda or beer can). Well I'm done seeing it and I didn't catch any other, though some missiles did have the can shape. I did notice it seems some scenes were almost perfect repeats from Macross missile scenes. Not too sure though. Anyone else notice that or was it just me? Cruel Angel's Thesis

Never heard of it and I'm not finding anything online by that name.

It was done as a homage to the beer can scene in DYRL.
JELEINEN
What the heck was that mini-VF-1A with the beam saber for the head laser from? It's from the Daicon IV film. It was a fan made film made for the opening of Daicon IV, a Japanese science fiction convention. They guys who made it would later go on to form Studio Gainax.
