I was just wondering what the complete 36-episode Macross DVD set from Animeigo is going for these days. I realise that it's now discontinued but... Is it hard to find?

If you look on Right Stuf.com, they're selling the 3 box sets for $39 each. I'm sure you could probably find it on eBay too.

I took me quite a while to find a decent set on ebay. Usually you can find bits and pieces but not the whole thing. Eventually I did find a set for about 120 that was complete with the box and everything. I even got a few extra holocards

I'd also recommend TPMAnime, Tam there I think still has a supply of the series.

The prices really seem to have plummeted; I recall seeing the box-set for about 300 bucks a couple years ago. Damn glad I waited

No.

Because the cover art was great as-is.

I never liked the blurry wire frame look of the covers. Having seen the Prototype covers which were full color versions of the art with white instead of black backdrops, those would have been much preferable.
