  1. NOOOOOO. I missed the superpacks order. Will Bandai be selling Alto with Superpacks together or is this the only way to get the superpacks for Alto?
  2. I bought this game for the PC the day it came out and I really like it. Not perfect but, pretty good.
  3. I'm not too excited about this batman outfit, I wish they would have tried something different then the other batman movies. Mainly, I don't like how the cowl looks. The ears look funny to me. I have to agree with everyone else on the belt too; it doesn't fit. Here's to hoping it will look better in bad lighting and fast action
  4. Sony has opened the gaming industry wide and the amount of non-quality games they have opened it up to is IMHO starting to negatively affect the industry. While disc media has brought greater graphics, I think games in general are just as you described. However, I think you are more accuratley describing a current trend of Square-Enix's rather than Nintendo's (I have found most Square games, play-wise, to be boring for a long time now As far as the memory stick goes, I'm sure Sony is thinking of how they can charge you and I for it and all the cool things it will do. I have to agree with you about the dual screen thing though. Why? I'm sure developers will make use of it somehow but, I don't like how Nintendo is pushing half brain gimmicks lately **cough** GBA connectivity **cough**! I personally am more worried about this touch screen thing and how the screen will actually hold up.
  5. I'm in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
  6. I'm not a die hard transformers fan but, I buy a few here and there. I'm really enjoying the binaltech/alternators line. That said, I have watched some of the energon cartoon and the story is getting better. Still, I really, really, hate most of the mech design;Especially, the main man himself, optimus prime(aka Fat @$$ prime). WTF happened with prime's design? Who looked at that and said, yeah looks good. Can anyone honestly say they like his design? Also, I dislike the physco color scheme for all the toys. Energon is way too power rangerish. I'm still considering getting Megatron though because he is about the only energon toy that I think is cool. My dislike of Energon has nothing to do with nostalgia(I kind of liked armada). I just dislike the designs. Anyways, Thanks to God for Alternators.
  7. Great points on both sides. I just assume this is an expensive hobby and figured it was a fair price for an accurate q-rau. However, I highly doubt Yamato is gearing their pricing just to gouge us foriegn fans. Maybe they are just gouging in general I still think the fast pack price is rediculous. Does anyone know how much of Yamato's business is from the outside japan (US etc)? If you think this is expensive wait till they decide to release a 1/48 Q-RAU (granbeetle runs and hides from the 1/48 haters )
  8. I have a gilgamesh kit. I've been really busy but, I'll try to take some pics later, so you guys can see. Those pods look nice painted I think I might just paint mine now
  9. I totally agree Vostok. This is crazy. Sad thing is that the biggest cause of most of the violence in this world is people forcing their messed up ideas on others through these irrational crusades. If one was really worried about violence and children, I sincerely doubt that toys would be a good place to start.
  10. This is a funny thread. A debate like this is never going to come to a conclusion because it's all opinion and subjective. It is fun to read and you all notice such small details. I'm impressed. MII is my second favorite behind DYRL and I'm sure most of you can guess what I would say if I had to compare MII to M7. I'm not saying MII doesn't take elements from DYRL but, go rent an old copy of 'Roman Holiday' with Audrey Hepburn and you will realize that MII has way more in common with this movie than with DYRL. On a final note, I will admit that I think MII's Zentran and Meltran mecha are fugly compared to DYRL. I like the Gilgamesh but, that is Marduk.
  11. Cool, I've been looking for some feedback on the Paasche Mil for a while now. I'm thinking about getting one because I have an H now but I can't do really fine lines and detail so I want a double action. How easy is it to get your lines down to 2mm? Also, is it easy to clean? I'm also considering the Badger 360 double action. Exactly, how beneficial is swivel mount feature?
  12. Paasche H is what I started out with and I found it very easy to use and clean. I wouldn't be turned off just because it is single action, you can do some good things with a single action airbrush. On a side note, has anyone tried the Paasche Millenium brush?
  13. Kawamori had nothing to do the design of the VF's in Macross II. In fact Kawamori hates Macross II. The mechancial designs in Macross II were handled by Kouichi Ohata (Mechanical Design Supervision) and Junichi Akutsu & Jun Okuda (Mechanical Design). Graham My bad Thanks Graham, you are exactly right. I was typing fast and it is just a reflex to associate Kawamori with Macross designs. I think part of the reason Mac II gets such a bad rap is because it is well known that Kawamori hates it. Is it true that he is part of the reason there aren't many Mac II toys? (cough Yamato 1/48 VF-2ss cough)
  14. Seen it, liked it but, the ending was a little weak. Amazing when you consider that one guy did it.
  15. I would just be curious to some ideas on this. The way the legs of the VF 2SS transform according to Kawamori doesn't seem to translate well into stable toys or models.
  16. Beat the 1/48 VF-2SS out of 'em Graham Seriously though, I think a 1/48 VF-2SS would make Yamato some money. Oh yeah, what is going on with the YF-19?
