  1. Here are some pics with the covers off.
  2. AH what the hell a few more. This time I kept the size down.
  3. Got bored made a few more...camera's not the greatest (Canon A580 and I really need to clean up the clutter ) but I am thinking about picking up a G11 next month and I should be getting allot better pictures then.
  4. I hate their tracking to but when you don't live in a major city or in the US, UPS really sucks. The nearest drop off point for UPS where I live is 250km away.... which you need cause who is home when the delivery guy comes by!?!?!?! Governement post - it may be slow but there is always a post office, close to where you live, that you can pick your package up at.
  5. Had this in another thread but since I did it with a flexi stand.
  6. Miriya here are the pics of the VF-1J I panel lined with a pencil and eraser. For how cheap and simple it was I think it turned out really well.
  7. Yeah if it was classic a Classic 20th anniversary Prime with Trailer I could understand but the movie version.......... .......... to be fair the ONLY thing good about those movies was Optimus. I don't really like the Bayformers but Optimus's character and voice where perfect so I didn't mind......but out of 5 hours or so worth of movies I enjoyed about what 30-50 minutes? I know I'm an a** so how should I punish myself? Maybe by seeing the GI Joe movie again! That movie made my the kids I haven't had yet cry..... If the Transformers, Wolverine and GI Joe movies are any indication of what damage Hollywood studios can do to my childhood; The Ghost in the Shell, Akira, or Robotech movies (if they ever get made) are going to give me an Cerebral aneurysm that will not only kill me but cause my head to burst in a nuclear explosion and take out everyone else in a 5 mile radius out of Spite! Anyway back on topic I sure hope that Yamato could keep this around 200-300 bucks. If not.............
  8. I used the cheap and simple method. I used a mechanical drafting pencil or you can use a .3mm mechanical pencil and an eraser to add scorch marks/clean up the errors. I did it first with some MG 1/100 Gundams and they turned out really well (the first Gundams I ever bought as well). The trick is: - get the panel lines nice and dark with the lead. - decide on the direction you want the scorch marks to go on the model (so they seem uniform). I used the fighter mode for this as it just made more sense to me. - Take an eraser an smear the lead particles on in the dirction you want to go. I fighter mode I imagined them going from front to back. This will lighten the panel lines up a bit and add some depth to the raised edges of the toy/model. - if it gets too thick take a damp paper towel clean it up a little bit. If it gets to light take the pencil and touch up the lines a bit. I like to use a drafting pencil cause you can really grind the point down to a really fine tip and you can use the grids from the sharpener to dirty up some of the other parts. I will post some more pics of it on Monday if I get a chance. I also used a Gundam eraser tool that I'll post pics of.
  9. No you don't have to, but it seems to tighten it up when you do. They are a bit of a pain to get out and the tail fins always seem to pope out during transformation but otherwise they work.
  10. One thing I noticed about the sticker sheet. There are no pilot stickers for the Canopy...... Frankly that's one I think they should not have missed as it really sets off the canopy IMO. Oh well, I raided my other sticker sheets and my VT-1 is now piloted by A. Warhammer with H. Kakikazai in the back seat (where he should be! ). Note the closeups make the stickers look a bit hideous but from 2ft away you can't make out the clear parts.
  11. I've only had the pin problem on my Strike VF-1S. The rest are awesome. Anyways I just got my VT-1 yesterday and the only thing bad I have to say about it is that it makes me want the Elint even more now! Oh and it comes with a nice big sticker sheet.
  12. Oh man it has to come with that stand! Needless to say I will have to wait and see what the price is before I make a decision on wether I really want to purchase this or not. I have the feeling that the sticker shock I got from the 1/60 PG Gundam 00 will be nothing compared to this.
  13. Here is a link to the IGN article as well http://pc.ign.com/articles/102/1021438p1.html
  14. Well for all you fans who loved Battletech and Mechwarrior and where pumped about the possible release of Mechwarrior 5 and a reboot to the franchise guess what? (link is from the IGN daily wrap up) *(*(*)&^)(^()^()^_)^*&!!!! I grew up with Battletech, Mechwarrior and Robotech. All this crap with Harmony Gold has ruined some of the favorite things from my childhood. Why can't they work these things out?
  15. I don't have any real problems with the Bandai. It is a generally better toy than a Yamato (durability wise). The Yamato's always had better detail detail though. I only wish I was more into my stuff being toys. I fiddle with them once and a while but all they really are (including my Bandai) are pose-able display pieces. That's why we buy stands and/or put valks in display cases is it not? I find allot more joy in posing and displaying my valks than playing with them. Besides I display mine in the office if I started playing with them all the time I would get fired.....
  16. Anybody know of a cheaper place to purchase it from other than Over Drive? The price at $144.99 US is the cheapest I could find but the $39.99 US shipping is awful.
  17. Hey, I have been thinking about getting the VF-25F armored Messiah. Wondering if the model requires paint or can you get by with the bare plastic? I've done some Gunpla before and was satisfied with the results without paint and just some gundam marker but this would be my first Macross kit and I was just wondering.
  18. Anybody have any comparison pics to the DX vs. the model? I canceled the DX cause it was just to expensive for me right now but I have been thinking of getting the model just for the challenge of it.
  19. Ive got the same on preorder but I canceled the Armored Ozma cause that's just a bit to much for my wallet in the coming months. Hopefully I can pick it up next year or something....or cancel my Macross Quarter order.......
  20. Hobby search has it up for pre-order now to. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10096195
  21. That's like $170-180 US ......that better be with the VF-1J or that's too expensive . I was hoping that this was the armor itself and thinking of something like $60-$70 US for the armor by itself. I already have a VF-1J Hick (that I bought specifically cause I thought they where coming out with an armored version) I don't need another one. I just don't understand this. I have 3 VF-1s with 5 more on preorder. I don't need another VF-1J and I just want a couple of armor suits to put on the ones I have. Now I have to sulk and hope they bring out the stand alone armor for a decent price.
  22. Man that's awesome. Have they posted a possible price anywhere?
  23. The way I am going lately I am not holding out on any of them I am buying almost all of them. The only thing I am not buying right now is the Macross Plus stuff (exception for the Macross Quarter) but that's only because I can't afford to buy all these new Yamato releases coming up and the new Bandai releases. I am really looking forward to the Elint and the Max and Mira though.
  24. Aha! Now I see it. Yeah mine has it too. Why did you have to ruin the VF-22 for me! Man I never would have noticed it since it transforms fine and that bloody popout extension on booth of the belly plates that I hate so much keeps me from looking at it too closely.
