I want it to go on for as long as it was planned. If they're unveiling a second season tomorrow, that was planned all along but kept in the dark, I'll say "Rock on! Keep up the good work." If the ending is in 3 episodes like it seems to be, I'll say "Rock on! Make it epic!"

And as far as I know Ranka has more drama than Sheryl, she's got 2 dudes, an uncle, a best friend, alien followers, cool gadgets and the whole background story on how she rose to fame.. The story is more centered around her than Alto himself.

And it seems to me that Alto never liked Sheryl in that way... he's just warming to her now that she's dying.

With subs now Leon tells grace that there can only be one ruler of the galaxy. Does this confirm that Frontier houses the NUNs government presidency?

No. It confirms this is what Leon is aiming for, a key being uniting the galaxy and controlling the means of this unification, the fold quartz. Grace and Galaxy seem to be aiming for something beyond that however.

Well, reading the little blurb underneath the matching picture it says "Stealth cruiser - space cruiser"

The text below is just too low res to read properly, but it compares it with the frigates. I can't see any mention of a name of the ship.

So wait the green one on the left is for a zent sized pilots while the right one is for miclone sized pilots? The scale doesn't add up. The green one has to be a lot larger than the other? Or did i just misunderstand something?

VF-25 has a point. The marriage of a fast pack and a sound system!

I know! And you see it goes full circle too. Because if you think of Soundboosters, who's the first person you think of? Basara. And Basara and Vajra have the same meaning or some such. And who has an unexplained connection with the Vajra? Ranka. It all fits so well!

I like seeing the NUNS pilot suits. They look much better than the ones in Macross 7.

I'm going to laugh until I throw up if it turns out that in the end we discover that Brera is an AI with some bits of Ranka's brother's memories, and it turns out that Ranka's brother is actually Sheryl who was reconstructed as a girl after being saved from the remnants of the 117th research fleet. It's not like this would be the first time that something like this has happened in a Kawamori work... That's why back in episode 7, Ranka says she knows Sheryl.

You had me going "LOL! " until the very last sentence where you had me going "Huh? ". Seriously when did she say that in episode 7?

Anyway, now that's out of my system, I shall now concentrate on trying to figure out how she terminated those government goons.

I distinctly remember the sight of guns blazing in their respective hands followed by pieces of Grace's clothing all over the air. I think now that Grace's construction is actually rather modular, though not possibly not quite up to the nanotechnological molecular level control of the T-1000, but still to a very significant degree. As it taking a few hits from anti personal hand held weapons are going to cause irreparable damage to a Terminatrix that could reshape herself at will.

Taking them out alone is well within her capabilities and if Brera, who is a much less advanced than the full android Grace 2.0, is used as a reference. I would imagine that she simply jumped up after taking the first barrage of fire just to intimidate the crap out of them (imagine the Model 101 T-800 getting up after taking multiple shotgun blasts to its body from just a few meters away, with Sarah Connor in complete disbelief), as it'll do her no real damage anyway. This followed by a leap up and out of the opening, using her shapeshifting capability to crush and take the guns off the guys up there, followed by the guys down there eating lead.

Think you've put a lot more thought into this than the actual writers of the show have, my fully armored collegue.

Earth NUNS wants to destroy the planet and Ranka too. I bet that's not in Leon, Grace/Galaxy plans...

Sheryl stays in the planet instead (since she's going to die anyway due to the V-Type infection). The Vajra and the planet are destroyed. Ranka and Alto get together in the end...

Grace escapes to Galaxy... (To cause trouble on season 2?)

And the only way I could see your probable ending being true is if there IS going to be a season 2. No word on that though.

The guitar definitely doesn't function autonomosly of the fighter - I don't recall Bassara ever taking it out.

Actually he does. I seem to recall him doing so several times. I just checked "Galaxy is calling me" quick since I had that close by, and yep, one minute he's in the cockpit with that guitar, next he's jumped out carrying it, next has him playing it.

Could it be that the

are Galaxy?

Hmm, I guess I put it to words a bit viciously. But I still think he's going to die. His luck for having associated with Leon.

Concerning the guitar interface. I think it could be fairly reasonable to control a fighter through an odd interface like say a guitar, instead of the normal control stick and throttle. As long as the guitar has the same number of possible input options as the regular setup, sure why not. It guess could work, but I'd find it silly anyway. What I don't believe would work, is playing a song on said guitar, while still making the fighter do what you want. Given that the guitar controls the plane, playing a song on it would be nothing short of suicidal (maybe not in space, but certainly within gravity or in proximity to things you can crash into).

You'd have to choose basicly. Steer the plane in a way you have control over it while producing random noise from your guitar interface. Or die a horrible death as the plane spins out of control from the random input you're giving it as you're playing your latest hit single...
