    I was afraid this might happen once BBTS pushed the listing to February from January. There are going to be some sore folks, considering how ridiculous the prices are getting on eBay now that everyone has sold out. This is like the 29 all over again, but this time worse since it is Ozma's only valk. Whoever is selling that one might get a nice payday now.

    Exactly. The 17 is the best manufactured valk Yamato has put out besides the 19. It is tight and sturdy and you really get your money's worth. Go and grab one. You will not be disappointed. It's a beast. Like any valk, take your time transforming it and follow the instructions, and you will be fine.

    I don't personally think the demand for the 4G is overwhelming, at least not at the price point it will most likely be (north of $300). Regardless, the days of paying $150-$200 for a new Yamato valk are over, me thinks. More like $250-$300 unless you get it at a deep discount somewhere...

    I'm pretty sure Bandai will do the 171 this year. It's just a hunch. If they do the 171 I hope they do the 171 hero version, but I'll take the cannon fodder one no problem.

    It'll be made. But it will either be sold as a web exclusive or preorders will sell out in five minutes. Either way, MW will burn with nerd rage.

    Yeah I would be interested in one depending on price. My kit building skills suck though. Depending on how much paint/building is involved, I may have to commission someone to do it for me.

    Yeah, I've seen the same auction too. Way too pricey. I would like to eventually own this set, but it's not a high priority now that it's not available anywhere. Maybe if Yamato ever reissues it.

    Fair enough. I thought the same thing, but I bought one cause I was itching for a new valk, and now it's in my top 5 valkyries of all time. I'm sure they'll go on sale soon, though.

    The head is only one aspect of the toy. If people are sitting out on a 17 because of the head sculpts, they are truly missing out. As far as build and swooshability, the 17 kicks major ass over almost every other valk except perhaps the quality of build / design of the 19. Lots of weight to it... solid, tight... Seriously underrated valk.

    Any ideas on what it would be? I'd prefer a 171, but if not that, then a renewal 27 since that's my favorite Frontier design.

    Yes, the 19 is the superior toy for sure.

    It's the gloss that does it. Even the 19 Kai looks more like a toy due to the gloss vs the 17 for example.

    This would be the biggest driving factor in me getting one. There's just nothing else out there in Macross that looks like that.

    I found a couple dollars in change in the couch. It's a start. And lots of lint. Too bad lint isn't worth money.
