Well, the fold boosters do indicate that it's got more tech than the 25. However, you do have a point that we've yet to see them face off against each other. In relation to this, based on the fact that it can be outfitted with multiple kinds of armor packs, the 25 seems to be more of a general purpose VF. So either they're designs built for different missions, or it's a 2 designs representing 2 different philosophies of 2 competing design teams. Cramming every bit of technology you can into the plane versus a simple, but modular airframe that can be customized for different missions based on the packs you attach.

She's most probably going to have some involvement with Mikhail given (Frontier's version of Max x Millia), if you haven't noticed, most, if no all her appearances have Mikhail involved somehow. Her dismounting from the Q-Rea in ep. 4 showed how she was seated in the suit. The shot in ep. 6 however was out of proportion as the only way she would have fit with the way they did it is if she were sawed in half.

I believe that Klan was fighting with a slight handicap since I've read somewhere that the VF-25 is slightly better than the Queadluun Rea. That plus it was a test so I think she probably held back a bit as to evaluate Alto.
