Macross Frontier Episode 8 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
Starscream replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
That's the best theory I've heard so far and I'm in 100% agreement Heron. As for Graham- I'm going with a separate theory as to the missing UN Spacy Kite. The events of VF-X2 tell us that there was a civil war. So far I've gathered this much. After the civil war in VF-X2, the UN Spacy COMPLETELY reorganized. New name. New logo all together. So essentially the UN Spacy has ceased to exist as far as I can tell (and until I see otherwise in Frontier, I'm firmed up on that belief). As for the VF-27, it is probably from the Galaxy Fleet. True. But I think we're going to find out that the Anti-UN Forces are still VERY active. Look at VF-X2 once again... in a sense you can say that those events were instigated by the Anti-UN Forces as well. And the VF-27's remarkable likeness to the SV-51 is just too much to overlook. The SV-51 is so radically different from the UN Spacy Variable Fighters (With the exception of the VF-17/VF-171 and VF-22 since the VF-17/VF-171 were based on the F-117, and the VF-22 was based on the Queadluun-Rea Power Armor). Other than those exceptions, the UN Spacy/NUNS Fighters have all had similarities with eachother, while if you look at the SV-51 and the VF-27, their similarities are too much to overlook and further reinforce the strong possibility of it being an Anti-UN Fighter. So here goes my theory as to what's going on here. We know for a fact they're making a LOT of Macross Zero references throughout the series. ESPECIALLY after the intro to Episode 8. During the Unification Wars, AFOS was the Anti-UN Forces' trump card. They lost it. Wouldn't it stand to reason that they're searching for it? Even after 50 years? I HIGHLY anticipate we'll see the Birdman again in this series. Post-Mortum (With Sara Nome all rotted inside, not looking so hot anymore). As far as why we're seeing Brera on the Frontier, I think he retreated to the Dulfim. And that the Anti-UN Forces (Or whatever they turn out to be) had fully infiltrated the Macross Galaxy Fleet. Hell, they made the remark of why were the Kaitos and Dulfim away from the main fleet anyhow... But we'll see. Just my two cents. -
Give me some time and I'll work something out for you. I used to have a link to a Macross Weapons List (Designators and some pics). I'll have to try and find that list again. They'll be in 3DS format.

Look at the top. It also mentions Rockstar Energ Drinks. ;D

I'm all for it. It's been a while since I've done 3D modeling and I suck ass at modeling large scale items like aircraft and what-not, but I can definitely handle the 3D Models for weapons and missiles (I'm an Air Force missile technician IRL so I think I can handle those pretty detailed).

Indeed. And most important (IMHO), Captain Global's voice should conduct a very strong assertive sense. He's a veteran ship commander. He can't sound like a bishi.
-
Tell ya what. Shoot me over part of the Captain Global scripting. I'll give it a shot but it might be a few days since I'm heading out on a business trip tomorrow evening. I should have internet while I'm gone, though, so I think I can whip something up and get it back to you in a reasonable time to see if you like the results or not. Also, if you have any of the soundbites from the previous person, those might come in handy as well. I MIGHT be able to match the voice, but no promises.
-
Well tell ya what. I've never tried it, but if you need some filler voices, I can give it a shot. The one thing I know I can pull off flawlessly are vocals requiring military jargon. I'm military and have been for over 8 years now, so you could say talking in military jargon comes natural to me at this point. Besides, I wouldn't mind contributing seeing as I've been a Macross fanatic for going on 14 years now. The only MAJOR question I have is what are you using for recording? Typically, computer microphones are God awful in sound quality. Can't say I've ever done Voice Acting, but given the fact that I've had multiple public speaking courses and have given several briefings (military) to groups of 300+ people without a problem, I don't imagine it could be too different. Anyhow, I'm open to your thoughts. If you want, just shoot me a private message.

Unfortunately I haven't spoken Japanese since I lived there 3 years ago. Now it's all out the window. I'd rather watch it and have an understanding of what is going on. But right now I could be watching Mecha pr0n!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! -

AHH!!! You're all bastards for talking Episode 7 up!!! I'm stubborn and refuse to watch it until the Gattai Sub comes out (Hopefully early Sunday morning). I feel like a little kid who can't sleep on Christmas Eve waiting for that sub to come out!!!! -

Personally I don't see the point in getting a Skyline GT-R in the US. The cost factor alone (amount it'd cost to get a DECENT R32 or R34) is WAY disproportionate to what you get. And before I get the speech of how the Skylines are... I lived in Japan for half a year. I drove Skylines and Silvias while I was there. Yes, they are nice cars, but definitely NOT worth the cost to bring it to the US. For the same amount of money, you can obtain a car normally in the US and invest into immediate upgrades. But I know nothing of cars... I only have my '97 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL-Twin Turbo conversion with $14,000+ invested into upgrades (all installed by myself) that runs low-13's (High-12's on a VERY good day, and no I do not use a bottle). -
Those are awesome... Just gotta change it from saying Battle 25 to saying SMS Macross Quarter.

THE UN-OFFICIAL COLOR SCHEME THREAD

I can but my free time is limited due to work and what-not. However, I'd suggest asking HelloHikaru- his color schemes come out a hell of a lot better looking than mine. -
THE UN-OFFICIAL COLOR SCHEME THREAD
Starscream replied to the white drew carey's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Here's my own colorscheme for a VF-22. I need to redo this since it's a year old. But I'll get to it when I have free time. -
Yeah. I used to have all Macross 7. Lost it in a harddrive crash a few years back. :\ Thank you both. I'll post updated pics hopefully this week with the background. Still torn between whether to do it hand drawn and photoshopped, or whether to take it to 3DS Max.
-
I'm working on some fan art and I'm at a complete block as far as the background goes. It requires a VF-22 cockpit. Below is the image thus-far. But until I can find some good VF-22 cockpit images, I'm at a standstill since I don't want to halfass it and have it come out less than perfect (I'm a serious perfectionist). I used to have some pics of the cockpit, but I can't find them anymore. And this is going to drive me insane. :\

This is an impressive project. If I knew programming and better 3D, I'd be doing my own Macross fan game. But I'm a sucker for realism and detail. To me, the ultimate Macross game would be extremely similar to say, Falcon 4.0 (Still probably my favorite game, even though technically it shouldn't even be called a game). With realistic aerodynamics, a dynamic battlefield, extreme difficulty, etc.

That's amazing. Ranka is definitely jail bait. Oh well, if Alto doesn't teach her, someone else will. -
What is "deculture" and Sheryl is French?
Starscream replied to ComicKaze's topic in Movies and TV Series
Correct. All Air Traffic Control is spoken in English, regardless of the location of the ATC handoff, the origin/nationality of the flight, etc. It's all about standardizing things, which is especially critical in aviation. So... it became English (SCORE! THE ONE THING THEY CAN'T MAKE US TRY TO DO IN SPANISH TO ACCOMIDATE CERTAIN COUNTRIES JUST SOUTH OF THE UNITED STATES!!!) Close. Minmei: Chinese/Japanese mix (No. 3 Combo special) Gloval: Italian (He wears a jogging suit and gold necklace in his off time) Hikaru: Japanese Misa: Japanese Claudia: American Roy: PURE MOTHER fartIN BALLER!!!!!!!!!!! I'll find that out for you. Lemme rewatch DYRL and see if I can spot any FEMA Trailers aboard the Macross. I won't lie, I value that shirt. I'd wear it. And aggressive girls make my world go round. ;D I definitely just saved that to my iPhone. Yup. Super Dimensional Chinese Restraunt Nyan Nyan. I need their phone number. $50 says they SHOULD be able to deliver faster than Dominos. -
Hit the refresh button.

That's actually impressive. I lack the patience to do something like that.

Similar to pool. But played without a pool cue, typically on a snooker table. All by hand. A lot of pilots play it. Hell, there's dedicated crud tables at a lot of Officer Clubs. Here are the official rules. http://www.aifcv.org/pdf/CRUDRULES2000.pdf Notice how a lot of the terms in CRUD clearly are aviation related (FOD, Foot off Runway, Holding Area, No Six, etc.)
