    I was 13 years old and had never heard of Macross. That fateful day would not come until the week before Robotech first aired on TV.

    I was thinking the same thing. The CGI mecha looks slick but I can't see how they could make THAT big a difference between the TV series and the movie; although Kawamori probably wouldn't really care anyway. I wonder if he could get Mikimoto to do the character re-designs for the movie?

    It will probably remain a mystery, because I don't think they gave it much thought. It seems to me that alot of things about Macross Frontier were "made up" as they went along and had not been planned originally. Making Sheryl the grandaughter of Mao seemed to me, more like an afterthought.

    Ok now here's a question: Is there some underline reason why Ishiguro, Mikimoto, Miyatake, and Kawamori don't get together on a new Macross? I mean did they have a falling out or did Kawamori not want to work with them anymore?

    Dang, it's so hard to choose!! I'm going with Macross Do You Remember Love, however my heart aches for Flashback 2012. That last sequence with Minmay, Hikaru, and Misa was beautiful and that song still takes me back. That was the s*it back in the day, but it's not long enough so DYRL gets my vote!
