  1. Good idea! and here.we.go...
  2. In the word of future world peace idols Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted Theodore Logan... excellent!!
  3. "Oh no, it wasn't the Quaedluun. It was pineapple killed the beast. ..."
  4. That's exactly what I thought. I wouldn't be surprised if they happened in the same macross universe, and Earth Dash just happened to be another world that the PC played around with. Heck, a cross-over could even work.
  5. So you're saying the brilliance of Eva was just a mere unintended accident? Blasphemer!!!
  6. oh you evil evil person. thank god that image is so heinous that even my subconscious has blocked it from my imagination.
  7. YESSSS!!! NO!!!!!
  8. I can say that I enjoyed it. I don't think it's for everyone. But it certainly was for me, seeing that I finished the 26 ep series in a span of 2 days, which i usually don't do anymore. And no, not anything like space jam. And if anything, Aya Endo (Sheryl) and Megumi Nakajima (Ranka)have voice roles there. Good luck in recognizing their voices, though.
  9. Silly kids, Shoji already did a Macross reboot. It's titled Basquash. All the elements are there: Fast-moving mecha, Music and Idols playing a key role in the plot, a love triangle (and one of them an Idol, of course), a giant, giants going against the mechas, space travel, and even protoculture.
  10. Finished the whole dang series in one day (seriously, i couldn't stop). Throw all physics out the window, but, man, i thoroughly enjoyed this show. Next time I play basketball, i'll either shout DE-SSSTROYY! or BASSS-QUASSHHHH!! And I loved the music. Particularly the first Ending theme.
  11. That's what I heard too. Spielberg. So Spielberg goes for GITS, Cameron for Battle Angel Alita, and Peter Jackson (?) for Evangelion. The Big three of directing will create the anime era of hollywood (yes, let's put dragonball and speed racer aside, please). Actually, I wouldn't mind at all. Nothing hollywood will do can lessen my perception of Eva. Me loving the original Eva is a certainty, like death and taxes. So even if hollywood messes it up, i won't cry "rape" or anything like that. And besides, WETA seems to be committed to do the visuals for Eva, so I got to at least see that.
  12. Sheesh, all of you have it wrong. no Shammy = NOT MACROSS!
  13. Perfect. LOL.
  14. Hey as long as you include Milla and Laplamiz. Milla as 6, and always in your head in skimpy red outfits? Count me in!
  15. well, the only reason it happened is because they increased the nominees to 10. no way 2 SF movies get nominated for best picture -- those oscar old-timers will find a way to sneak in an art film before letting SF take 2 out of 5 slots.
  16. A variation of the character in Detroit Metal City, and place him in the cockpit of the latest valk. Pop singer one moment, with the battle skills of a kakizaki. Death metal frontman the next, with the ferocity of Roy Focker.
  17. All Macross girls must.have.shower scenes!
  18. Just started watching Basquash. 1st episode in, and i'm already hooked. what can I say, i'm a basketball fan. Watched up to ep 3, and I hope to do a marathon over the weekend. But my greatest shock so far? ... How the hell is it possible that Spanky is Sheryl Nome??? How can that sweet voice suddenly be a carnivorous pokemon pet??
  19. gasp. You mean to tell me, the ONE good SW movie that I credit him for, and he wasn't even the one who made it good? hm, imagine that...
  20. Male lead to his male co-pilot/only other survivor: "Well, this ship's busted, we're never going to be able to leave this place anymore. Anyway, according to the nav chart, we crash landed on plant Zardoz, best known for its... all male population.... ......goddammit."
  21. NBA Live! ALL of them. Yup, even that '96 release where I can score 60 points a game with Steve Kerr.
  22. Gave up on the show a while back. Only saw the first 2 eps of the current season, and then the interest just died. Since then, i haven't had any urge to watch it, and it's been out of my mind. But it's still sad to hear that the series still hasn't lived up to its potential. so many chances. sigh.
  23. Who says Nolan had no plans for Batman vs. Joker round 2? We're all for it. I'm guessing Nolan is all for it too, considering he kept joker alive, and set Batman and Joker ready to "be doing this forever". Unfortunately, the death of Heath Ledger put a bit of a damper on those plans. Who would dare step into Joker's shoes this early, after the genius performance he did? It tookn more than 20 years before anyone had the balls to suceed Nicholson -- and Ledger's Joker was a hundred times better. In any case, you're right. they shouldn't just kill of major villains. Green Goblin, I can understand, since you could say it was a homage to his death in the comics. But what a waste for Nicholson's Joker, Penguin, Doc Ock and Venom. (Although I have no regrets of them killing off Tommy Lee Jones's Two-Face. Man, that character sucked.)
