  1. Hey! Those guys are already taking orders for the Shadow! Hey, Kevin. I want to preorder one too! Preorders are coming soon. -kevin
  2. Unlikely (Jack Archer might not be Macross canon, but is RT canon). I'm wondering about "double-dipping" personally, because if some of the early Shadow Force images still apply, then all Toynami have to do is take their upcoming Shadow Fighter, make new wings with missile pods imbedded, and bingo bango another 80 bucks for an official Shadow Force design... But on the other hand that may get a MPC Beta made, as they just need to switch out the sensor boom for a synchro cannon of a New Gen Beta to make it a Shadow Force version, meaning that Toynami would get more use out of any Beta molds. Cyc well, there is that new robotech game coming out which takes place during the invid war right? great opertunity to introduce new character and new alpha variant.... I'm sure HG has already thought of it... -K
  3. Roughly every two months... Oct- Red Alpha Dec- Green Alpha Feb '05- Shadow
  4. Yes yamato made the helmets. I believe, from what i recall from XStoys, that the shoulder pads are a co-op with Dengeki. Yamato jsut gave the ok and dengeki made them. Yes I believe teh helmets are in the 1K range US dollars. and with shoulders it is 1.8k? Don't forget to mention that shipping to the U.S is not even included... -Kevin Ugggghhhhhh ... that's something I'd rather not discuss. Sorry, Tony....but I had to throw it in there....

  6. The Alphas (first production run) are on the boat as we speak... I believe it left on HK yesterday and will take about 12-14 days to get to the U.S. Then add 2-5 days for customs clearance and delivery. -K
  7. 1) Yes. Used in battroid mode and mounts on shoulder. You can mount it or leave as is... 2) That is the MSRP for the MPC line.. (My guess...) 3) No stickers attached yet...IT was still sealed in the box. 4) Not sure...I didn't check.
  8. Actually, the book style cases for the Alphas are a greenish color. It is definitely not blue. -K
  9. Everyone welcomed Tom. I didn't see or hear anyone badger him, though questions were raised about the whole licensing debacle. However, there was nothing new discussed that isn't already known by the folks here and at RT.COM. I think Tom had a good time talking with everyone. -Kevin
  10. Hi all, Just a heads up that we had a MPC Alpha at MW CON 4 and I scooped a few pictures to share. I made a request to Toynami to bring along the MPC Alpha and Toynami had arranged Tom Bateman to join us at the event! Special thanks to Tom Bateman for taking the time out and sharing the figure! MW Con 4 -Kevin
  11. that's extremely unfair. we shouldn't drag this thread down by making unfounded accusations. and no i dont think any company would knowingly hold back stock and sell them under assumed names. ebay is being driven completely by individuals looking to make a quick buck by scalping desirable items. I have to agree with Mr. Disco...I don't think HG would bother....Plus if it ever came out, the sh*t would hit for fan for both HG and Toynami....The backlash would hurt them pretty badly... Yeah, it sucks there only a handful of limited item to go around but that part of the nature of collecting...If you are the completist, sometimes you'll have to fork out alot of money to have something....I shelled out $750.00 for the Takatoku GBP1S/VF1S set years ago....I don't think I could even get $550.00 for it today since there are other alternatives out there.....Oh well.... -K
  12. I heard the same thing about the HK raids....Fortunately, I have a decent stocking of the Vol. 4 DVDs in hand... -K
  13. Hi all, I managed to get a few pictures taken this evening. These figures are pretty much the same as the previous Super Poseable series II with the exception of the DYRL scheme strike armor and markings. Toynami used the same molds so the arm armors are from the TV series. The articulation is the same, so I don't need to elaborate there... With these DYRL versions, Toynami used a light grayish PVC so they look better (not so cheap looking) than the previous poseables series. The armor is a dark navy blue and looks pretty good on the figure. For the strike cannon beams, the sculpt seems a bit too slender when you look at the proportion of it to the fast pack booster on the end. It needs to beefen up a bit. Additionally, the skull markings (on a sticker) on the fast pack seem a bit small. Enjoy Toynami Macross DYRL Super Poseables -Kevin
  14. Just like others have already stated, the VF1S Roy Reissues are not being reproduced anytime soon by Yamato. Unless, Yamato receives a combined order say 5000 units, I would imagine would warrant another production run. I think they sold the remaining inventory months ago. My last order of VF1S Roys were made 3+ months ago, and I sold my last few pieces about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, even my supplier doesn't have anymore to offer. I couldn't even restock the 1/48 VF1A Max though I do have a few more VF1A Hikarus inbound in a few weeks. -Kevin
  15. Man, what a find... Your expresssion must be . Your g/f brother's express will be -Kevin
  16. From what I hear, the Valkyrie stand will be out middle of July along with the second batch of VF1J/GBP1S armors....Apparently, Yamato quickly sold out of the first shipment of VF1J/GBP1S armors. -Kevin
  17. Hasegawa all made 1000 pcs out of clear plastic...(Think Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet).... It was a limited offering at one of the hobby shows in Japan. I don't really see that many around and I paid $45 USd for mine a few years back... -Kevin
  18. Congratulations! Now the sleepless nights begin! -Kev
  19. vf-1guy said he was able to put it on his vf-1a that is yellowing has valk exchange got his in yet??? My shipment is on the way...I have to verify ETA. -K
  20. It is a definite possibility the contract/agreement would remain in effect but if Toycom was officially "closed" for business and the Yamato USA was opened, then perhaps it is a loophole... Toycom could have easily made a public statement that it had changed names... There would be no "loophole". HG would still assert its claim and jurisdiction over North American (worldwide minus Japan) DISTRIBUTION, copyright and license for Macross SDF-1 items. Any legal entity that attempts to distribute (wholesales) licensed Macross toys would fall under HG's ruling as of now. Grey market importers are totally different and are LEGAL. That is the loophole. Yeah, I realize the odds are stacked...Wishful thinking... -K
