Well guys, I'm beginning to think I just got OVERDRIVED. It's been 6 days since I received my shipping notice from Overdrive Web Mall. The EMS tracking number they provided still doesn't work, the 3 emails I've sent (2 from my Yahoo account and one from my non-freebie work email) have gone unanswered and my shipment has yet to arrive. I considered calling them...but I doubt anyone at their offices speak English, not to mention my broken Japanese. I'm gonna send them one more email from my work address and I'll give them one more day. After that, I'm starting a Paypal claim. Worse case scenario: I have my credit union do a charge back. BTW, has anyone here experienced this with Overdrive? I've ordered from them before and everything went smoothly. Oh yeah, and this blurb on their website: Heh, can they do this? It doesn't really scare me. I'm sure Paypal and my credit union will side in my favor. Oh yeah, this is what I ordered. The links are on the front page under their clearance section. The links for Ranka and Sheryl no longer work, however.

Well, got my order confirmation this morning and I paid for my VF-1D! Can't wait to get it in! Hopefully it won't explode first thing out of the box! Still haven't heard anything from Overdrive regarding the non-functional EMS tracking code. I think I'm gonna send them another message. Is there a better email to use besides info@over-drive-inc.com?

Thanks for the heads up. Ordered the VF-1D now that it's back in stock. Just waiting for my confirmation email! This is my first order with HLJ.com. I chose FedEx for shipping. Still waiting to hear back from Overdrive regarding my EMS tracking number.

Ooh man, I'm sorry to hear that! I'm still waiting on my shipment from Overdrive. Something curious has occurred, however. According to the updates on my account, my figurines have been shipped and they've provided me with an EMS tracking number. When checking the tracking number on the Japan Post site or USPS, it shows up as non-recognized. I've emailed them about it Friday night and waiting to hear a response. I've had a great experience with them when I ordered my Hikaru VF-1S, so I'm cutting them a ton of slack. The bad EMS # is a bit of a puzzler though.

Well, so far so good. No refunds issued and got an update this morning with an EMS tracking number! Looks like I bought the last Ranka and Sheryl statues they had!

Something akin the the modern day Osprey, Chinook, Blackhawk or even a C-130 or C-17? I'm running a Macross table top game and couldn't find this info elsewhere. Thanks in advance!

Strange. The only one I could find was Klan. http://www.over-drive-inc.com/shop/macross-frontior-clan-clan-pvc-figure-from-macross-frontier-ichban-kuji-premium-p-347.html By following the breadcrumbs on the page (clicking Macross "Frontior") took me back to the main listing for MF figures where they had both Ranka and Sheryl listed for $50.99 as well. These seem to be gone. So it may have been an error on their part and I'll be issued a refund or I bought the last Sheryl and Ranka figures.

Overdrive has the bigger Ranka, Klan, and Sheryl Ichiban Kuji figurines for $50.99 a pop, so I placed an order for 1 of each just now. They also mentioned they're including other random Macross Frontier Ichiban Kuji items for each statue ordered. Can't wait to get these as I've been eyeballing them for some time now, all the while the prices kept going up and up. Was gonna order one of those VF-1Ds from HLJ....ah, but they're all sold out now.

Oh man, I cannot wait! I really hope it comes with the Speaker Pod Gamma!

Well, I'm now a member of the 1/60 ver. 2 club! I ordered a Hikaru VF-1S from Overdrive, which is aptly named btw. It took only 3 days to reach me here in Houston. Had a little trouble transforming the 1S at first. Snapping legs into place in battroid was tricky, but I got it! NO problems what so ever with the shoulder joints or the shiny canopy layer, even after multiple transformations. What a great toy! Now to get the Strike Pack set! Wasn't someone here selling side covers? I'd love to buy some... Well if that happens, and they're sold at a discount, then goodie for us. We can pick 'em up cheap and mod the heck out of them. I mean, look how badly Toynami did with their MPC's. I was finding them at Gamestop for $15-20 a pop.

Yeah, I realized that when I finished. Oops! Seriously though, I wouldn't mind buying a couple more. Maybe do some paint mods on 'em. Low viz? Angel birds? Oh yeah. I know they may be on the way in the future, but....I don't want to wait. I might buy new ones online, especially if they're cheaper.

I picked one up a few days ago. Overall, I like the toy. It's nice and posable and it's the perfect size for my computer desk. Now for some ranting and raving: Rave 1. Great posability! I really like the way the joints move! 2. Good proportions overall. The big shoulders don't bother me too much.. 3. Looks great in battroid and gerwalk modes. Tail fin a tad on the smallish side in fighter mode, but ok! 4. Heh, nice packaging Toynami! Rant 1. Floppy back pack in fighter and battroid modes. 2. Raised skull on the heat shield. 3. Decals are so-so. 4. Swing bars seem a little delicate. I'm afraid I might snap them accidentally. 5. Price could be cheaper. I bought mine for about $20. $15 would be a more ideal price or $20 w/ fast packs. Here's some pics of my Hikaru 1A. I used a mechanical pencil for the panel lining and added the decals. I didn't add the skull decals to the tail fins as there were too big and cheap looking. I'll need to trim those down later. Also, I thought the UN SPACY decal for the legs were too small so I just used the GU-11 decals in their place. I might pull those off....haven't quite decided. The flash of my camera faded some of the detail of the panel lining, so use your imagination. Overall, I thought it turned out well.

HA! I only own 3 Yamato Valks, all 1/60's. I look longingly at 1/48 pics...but I really just put my money towards my other hobby, videogame collecting. But....I really would like one of those VF-0's......and a 1/48 Angel Bird. Might have to do something about that.

Hey guys! What scale are those old Matchbox destroids? I have a few of the originals, plus the Exo Squad re-issues. I'm planning on repainting a few and could use some decals too! Any help would be nice!
