  1. I recognize that picture. Glad to hear you're closer to the complete set and hopefully you find that last one. I wonder how many folks here have complete sets of all 4 MFC volumes.
  2. It was actually about 7 boxes total. Maybe 8 tops, my memory is bad. I got a loooot of individual ones on Ebay.
  3. Yup, that's my collection, but I took that before MFC4 came out. Between all 4 series I had maybe 7 boxes. I got a lot of the ones I was missing individually on Ebay (or through awesome Macross World members).
  4. Good luck! Hopefully this works out for all 3 of you. This thread got me wondering. Has anybody else completed a full set of all 4 MFC volumes?
  5. In Bandai's 1:250 Macross Fighter Collection the YF-19 is in series 2. You may have been thinking of Yamato's 1:200 Variable Fighter Collection, which has the YF-19 in series 1. These are a lot easier to come by since they were sold in boxes of 10 which came with all 9 of the normal valks (including the YF-19) and 1 "special" (a low-vis VF-1 in either fighter, gerwalk or battroid). I just picked up the YF-19 from the Yamato VFC by itself the other day for about $11 on Ebay.
  6. I went through three boxes without finding one before I started my eBay search.
  7. I ended up giving up on finding it in boxes and posted a "want it now" listing on Ebay. I only got one reply and they wanted $75 US (which I'm not proud to admit I paid). Now that I think of it, getting some boxes might not be a bad idea if you sell the ones you don't want on Ebay. If you're getting a good price on the boxes you might make a profit assuming they sell.
  8. I didn't realize this existed until a couple of days ago. I used a bunch of Hobby Search points I had saved up and ordered it for free.
  9. Thanks to Rabidweezil spotting it on Ebay and sending me a link, I finally have the AIF-7S that I was missing. That means I finally have all 78 valks! My collection is complete until they release Macross Fighter Collection 5. (I really hope they do, but it doesn't look like it this many months after MFC4)
  10. I've got two of the old Yamato "launch arms" and three Flight Pose stands in use now and they both have their pros and cons. I like the look of the Flight Pose ones and the fact that they work with my Bandai Valks, but the Yamato ones are very stable and there's less fiddling and screw adjustment in order to get a position that will securely hold up a Valk.
  11. Having a hard time finding an AIF-7 ghost from MFC4. I've found the rest of MFC4 but this one seems to be rare or something. The thing that's killing me is that I ordered one on Ebay 3 months ago, and it got lost in the mail.
  12. Given the choice I'd go with the Bandai Hi-Metal... but the Toynami 1/100s do have an important advantage. The Toynami ones are really easy to find. I got my first one at a brick and mortar anime store with a really limited selection, and I got my second one at a street vendor's booth at last year's Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC.
  13. Or maybe Durandal? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BLU-107_Durandal
  14. I just got back from seeing Gantz and I liked it. The action was well done, the nailed the costumes and the aliens. The only thing that caught me off guard were the dubs (sounded like they had a mostly Japanese cast dubbing in English), and the giant amount of content they cut. Characters, events and back story all were missing because the manga has way too much content to fit in two movies.
  15. My copy of Figure-Oh Premium Series 9 arrived today. It's their second Revoltech encyclopedia issue and it's full of awesome pictures of all of the Revoltechs, with a focus on the ones released since their first encyclopedia issue. It also came bundled with a clear purple version of the Revoltech 100 EVA-01. I know a lot of folks are sick of the Evangelion Revoltech figures, but the sculpt on this one is amazing. It has 18 'revolver' joints, including some new little tiny ones that I hadn't seen before. The articulation is really good. The squished Angel stand is pretty well sculpted and I imagine will look good in the final painted version. The LED light is very bright. Even though there's a lot of hate for the quantity of Eva Revoltechs, at least Kaiyodo keeps improving the quality. Oh, and the encyclopedia has pictures of the upcoming EVA-02, as well as an EVA-00 with bandages on it and unpainted prototypes of EVA-03 and another EVA-05. By my count they'll be up to 52 Revoltech figures based on Evangelion (including all of the limited and special versions) after those come out.
  16. That's what I ended up ordering. That and the fast pack set. Finally my YF-19 will have a friend on the shelf.
  17. This is the first thread where I've subscribed for email updates. I look forward to watching the progress!
  18. Got my VF-27 fold from MFC4 in the mail today. It is the best looking of the shiny paint versions since the color is just a little deeper and more glossy than the previous release. Not sparkly at all.
  19. It is difficult being both a Revoltech nerd and an Evangelion nerd.
  20. This image completely ignores the Fraulein Revoltech Eva Pilots: Asuka Rei Rei with bandages Mini Asuka Mini Rei Mari in pink Mari in green Mini mari in pink Rei 2.0 version Asuka 2.0 version Asuka 2.0 version in test plug suit My Revoltech shelf is getting very crowded as I'm up to 42 Evangelion ones. They're over half of my Revoltech collection.
  21. I've been playing with the idea of a custom shelf for all of the MFC valkyries. Came up with this to see what it would look like.
  22. Graham, can you post a picture of this one? It's the only one from MFC4 that I'm having trouble finding. Thanks!
  23. My two cases arrived yesterday. It was really disappointing opening the second box because the first NINE I looked at were duplicates of ones I got in the first box. Some thoughts: I don't particularly like the re-releases of ones I already have with shiny paint... except the VF-25S Full Armor. That one is cool. I really like all of the VF-171 variants. The ghosts and their little stands are pretty cool. My VF-171EX Sheryl Art version doesn't have the armor bits above the intakes (the chest armor in Battroid) like the other VF-171EX even though it has the extra munitions on the arms.
  24. Anybody have theirs in hand yet? Hobby Search emailed me to say they're in stock, but hasn't shipped mine.
  25. I am impatient for my order to ship from Hobby Search... But I still haven't figured out how to rearrange my Desk O' Macross to make room for them.
