  1. Whatever the video on the ADV DVD is great and miles above the old Image/Streamline DVD. Who cares about the dub track?
  2. Yeah that was basically the end. I removed a brief "steal this off the internet oh wait maybe we should say that!"
  3. We have a new podcast up at: http://www.destroyallpodcasts.com Andrew is leaving the show and as part of our second anniversary, here's an Andrew special with three never before heard reviews of robot video games. We reviewed Vortex for SNES, Transformers for PS2, and SDF Macross for PST.
  4. I'm not an internet tough guy. I never threatened to beat anyone up, which is exactly what we are talking about here.
  5. I'd rather wake up next to a real woman, thanks.
  6. For anyone having trouble: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VWKFXPHC
  7. Dude, knock-offs almost always simplify transformations. That doesn't mean the original is magically too complex to bootleg. Bootlegging is all about the quick sleazy buck.
  8. Yeah, let's all be scared of the internet tough guy.
  9. Wrong. http://kotoys.com/kotoys.php?id=152&ca...ith+micromaster
  10. Maybe under the Robotech brand.
  11. I dunno dude, it works fine for me at home and at work. If you want I can try tossing it up on megaupload or something.
  12. It's also on the more expensive Shadow Chronicles DVD and I even saw it projected all huge at the Shadow Chronicles theatrical showing I attended. It is horrible in any way you see it.
  13. It was set in the year 3000, 900-some years after the original Robotech. No. It was announced, they showed a trailer, they put money into it, had (bad) CG animation... that's an attempted sequel.
  14. We're still friends. We were just chatting on AIM about Gundam today.
  15. It's probably one of those things that actually has multiple "real" meanings because no one ever agreed what it was. I don't remember which place specifically I got it from, but I'm planning to dig out all my books for the website soon and I will check it out. Sorry, been a while since I've had everything out of my closet! The Best Hit Series Megazone 23 book also has a totally bizarre scenario for the Megazone world after part 1 that is completely incompatible with Megazone 23 Part-II.
  16. Robotech Art 3 hints at it. Long story short: Mikimoto character designs and Hirano designs that are a very similar style match well with Macross, the mecha definitely resembles and is somewhat derivative of Macross (let's face it, the Garland is kind of a bike-Valkyrie -- even the head looks like a Valkyrie's head), directed by the director of SDF Macross and in a pretty similar style, and most importantly, Harmony Gold already had a license to use it.
  17. The second part of our 100th episode podcast special is up at: http://www.destroyallpodcasts.com It is full of outtakes and other stuff including messy ridiculous reviews of Great Mazinger vs. Getter Robo and a really lame vampire movie called Nightlife. Features hot numb tongue action.
  18. I have an old translation of the photo manga of DYRL. It looks like it was hand-typed in the 80s and then photocopied, long before the internet was a regular thing. Translation is at best... staid, but seems more or less accurate going by the different translations of the DYRL movie. I assume this was something traded/sold at conventions back in the day.
  19. The chick bot sure looks a lot like a Bubblegum Crisis hard suit.
  20. Stolen from Battlestar Galactica? Huh? I didn't see any monkeys in costumes or guys in disco shorts. Just like how the critics gave serious attention to the Iron Man direct to DVD cartoon movie, right?
  21. Well tell you what, I'm gonna update the site with scans from that in the same fashion I did for the books, cover and two pages and a description of what's in it. Can we nail down exactly what it is? Are those pics really from the canned Megazone show or is it just doujinshi?
