  1. Not much to go with at the moment, though I wouldn't be surprised if Davis Films, the company that produced the Resident Evil and Silent Hill movies, is involved... all these movies were distributed by Sony, too.
  2. Actually that was Colin Chou, who plays Seraph in the Matrix sequels. Then again... you could have said that after he appeared in Beverly Hills Ninja.
  3. I dunno about the Power Glove. Having to suspend your whole arm while playing the game... not very ergonomic. While we're on YouTube videos, check this one out: "If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you will ever..." "STFU"
  4. Who needs a CTU mole when you got Powers Boothe pulling that weasel Lennox's strings! He made Van Damme's Sudden Death more watchable than it really should, LOL.
  5. They said that they were going to have a plot thread involving Jack's brother in the audio commentary of the season 5 DVD but scratched it because there was just no room for that to develop with all the other subplots going on. I wonder if that kid is Jack's...
  6. The movie is a very truncated version of the books. In the original books there were a lot of localized wars, as part of Sauron's strategic plans to isolate the free races and prevent them from banding together to fight Sauron as a unified force. The last movie also cut out a major plot thread where forces from different parts of Middle Earth converge in Minas Tirith to help the sieged city and eventually push the fight to the Black Gate. The movie made it look like the Rohirrim were the only ones who came to the rescue.
  7. Wow, lagfest in the areas surrounding Thrallmar.
  8. I knew Curtis' days were numbered when the opening credits in episode one said 'Guest' starring Roger Cross. Just picked up the DVD of S6 ep1-4... they just threw the thing together, no subtitles/closed captioning, no commentary or any other special features except for the first 12 minutes of episode 5. You also get a $10-off coupon for season 1-6 of 24 DVD box, however. The actress who plays Chloe does her worst acting in episode 5... same 'stressed nerd' monotone mode when she was supposed to have a near breakdown about Curtis' death.
  9. I was thinking Hannibal Lecter... pass around the fava beans and Chianti, will ya?
  10. Here's a clip of 24 cast interviewed by Larry King http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/larry.king.live/ Personally I found EW's KS interview more interesting: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20006893,00.html This is fun: http://www.esquire.com/features/articles/2...y_07_bauer.html
  11. Probably because it's a press release from Fox. AICN has an actual phone interview with Cameron up until the Malibu fire put an interrupt to the conversation. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/31191
  12. The bots look and feel way too ID4 to me. Some of the CGI, while not totally fake-looking, still appear too generic-looking. I was hoping they'd raise the ante on photorealism more.
  13. I thought Nintendo was positioning their console as a pure gaming machine and decided to ditch DVD playback cos 'it had nothing to do with gaming', then comes this piece of news: http://www.sonic.com/about/press/news/2006/11/nintendo.aspx Is this the first time a console became obsolete before it even hit the shelves?!
  14. Quick. Someone's childhood is being anally raped at this very moment!
  15. Must. Buy. Valk that can shoot laser and fire out of every part of its body except for the ass!
  16. Looks like we're gonna get some filler stuff with BlueTooth's family... and who is Phillip Bauer? Jack's dad?
  17. Form your own group - that's what I did. You should have a rather long/full friend list by the time you hit 60.
  18. I did not realize marine training includes wrestling moves.
  19. I was expecting to see a list of theme songs instead of the series they came from. Most shows have multiple theme songs.
  20. Patlabor wasn't Oshii's creation. 424132[/snapback] Patlabor is created by Headgear: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patlabor Mamoru Oshii is part of Headgear: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headgear_%28artist_group%29 So how is it not his creation?
  21. Picked up my box last week. The supplement disc for P2 is definitely much better than the one for the first movie. Extensive interview footage with Mamoru Oshii where he discusses what went through his head while making the film, instead of only superficial, random snippets from the production staff that was on P1's supplement disc. The movie is much better than I remembered - perhaps due to the fact that I have seen all the OVA and TV episodes that came before P2 this time around - interestingly, soundtrack re-recording for P2 was done before P1... I wonder if it'd have turned out differently had they re-worked the soundtrack chronologically instead. It's a shame Oshii did not revist his creation and direct the 3rd Patlabor movie.
  22. As much as I love Carpenter's earlier work, he hasn't really put out anything good lately. Ghost of Mars was a horrible mess and I for one am glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater.
